Well Nupur was in a confusion about her own feelings then so she kind of misunderstood Mayank, however that was cleared a little bit when he hugged her during the Fanaa song and tried to pacify her before that. Mayank completely allayed Nupur's fears and apprehensions the moment proposed to her on the stage so there was no need for Nupur to ask Mayank for clarification because she realized that she got him wrong. After the post-play scene, rain scene and the walk home, she did not need any more assurance from him on that front..... she did not have to ask, he did not have to clarify, it was just understood- now THAT is a CONNECTION, a BOND ......
