Ria Ka Adda: Aur kitna sathouge humein?' & SWOT

Dear Ms. Ekta Kapoor:

Thank you for producing Kitani Mohabbat Hai ' a show my buddies and I adore and analyze everyday at Ria Ka Adda on India Forums. My buddies liked the SWOT (Strength Weakness Opportunities Threats) report I did from a fan's perspective in April 09 and have asked me to do an update. I know it is totally unsolicited advice, but I hope you consider it. We would love to see the show reach new heights not falter.

1. Set/Location: We know it is a recession, but please invest in new sets AND locations. The same few buildings are being constantly recycled. For instance, its always the same office (PM Media headquarters =cafe = bar = mall =hospital = Karu's office) and garden with ek lootah park ka bench (Sukh Niwas garden =Arjun's school garden= Contest location garden = Mumbai famous MG garden).

That being said, we appreciate your efforts to Reuse (extras, lcd screens, senior actors from other BT shows, flowers, bathrooms, mirrors, chairs, sets, locations, dresses), Reduce (faster story lines, disappearance of HP, bhaiya-bhabhi, and Antara), and Recycle (plot lines ' from Taal, Veer Zaara, etc).

2. Editing/Direction: Of late there has been some really bad editing and directing. Sound engineering has on occasions been comically bad. Let me give you just a few examples. On June 16 & 17, there was a flashforward to the present and AP was sentenced to Phaasi. Arjun is the narrator of this story, na? How could he continue narrating SP ka romance in the past while he is going from jail to court and being sentenced to death. Absurd. Then there was the scene where Arohi was speaking to Sea on May 29th ' a total disaster in terms of dialogue, Kritz's "acting", and Karan's non-dubbing. Arohi scaring away goons with a little scream on June 1st ' ludicrous. For bad sound engineering just look at the May 5th episode where APs talks to his dad and listen to the BM at 3:53 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHmEAdoMeig&feature=related). A sensitive scene ruined by comic music. One last example ' on June 22^nd AP is crying one moment, not the next and then crying again in less than 15 seconds ' just watch from 2:11 to 2:26(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-VyL7QGlX0).

3. Promos: The first one aired for this show is OUTSTANDING though it contains different actors. It is definitely prize worthy. The rest of the promos have been misleading to a large extent and that really irks the regular viewer. I appreciate they are meant to create drama, but does it do so when the regular viewer comes to conclude they are always deceptive? What do I mean ' well we were supposed to see Arjun proposing to Nuttasha ' that never happened. Likewise, we were supposed to think Arjun goes to jail for shooting K.S. and again it never happened. If the KMH team continually "cries wolf" we won't believe it when there is a real wolf. Try to see if it is possible to create buzz with the "real" deal without playing ruthlessly with us. Please respect our intelligence ' just a tad.

4. Musical Creative Heads:What's with the musical creative heads? In six months you have had 5 changes and 4 different creative heads. End result - there is a lack of continuity and consistency. It lowers the quality of the show. A character with fantastic potential ' Savita Punj - became figurative roadkill (there is major discrepancy about why she left Arjun with DK just look at May 8^th and May 14^th). Plot lines are never cleared up ' like why did Arohi take 10 lakhs from Arjun on May 8th. Fantastic characters like Sardarji who gave us the name "Punji" disappeared down bunny holes. Arohi supposedly came to Mumbai to participate in a contest ' a contest that never happened - maybe because the creative heads changed? Badimaa has home in Mumbai, but the girls bhatkoing in the streets of Mumbai looking for a home? Now Bua, who was supposed to be in U.S. taking care of cancer ridden HP randomly back trying to marry of Arohi to K.S.?? These minor points add up and detract from the story when they simply need not.

Opportunities:

1. Give us some more romantic magic between Arjuhi. They still work together, so there are some fantastic possibilities there. Get Arohi to doubt whether Arjun really hates her ' let her catch him doing sweet stuff for her and covering up. Like the moment she hurts leg on June 23^rd and when he wrapped her with a shawl on June 24^th. If nothing else ' how about some naya flashbacks of Arohi remembering good times with Arjun.

3. The DK ' Savita Love track... please consider creating one. You have two fantastic actors here particularly Satyajit Sharma. We love the complexity of DK's character and we can feel the love that is there available for rekindling. I know the target audience for this show is young, but romance is romance. As my friend Ria so aptly put it ' "Who says love is lost when one grows old! it gets personified!" If you show it properly ' trust me we will watch it.

4. Moving forward, I don't know what you have in mind for the "Dil ke liye Duniya" part of the story, but one idea maybe "prison break". Arohi breaks Arjun out of prison before his phaasi and we see them on the run. Lots of scope for rekindled romance and they can try a zillion different outfits ' similar yet different from the final Sumeet-Kumkum track on Kumkum. If she runs away from her career & family then we definitely have her giving up her "duniya" for his "dil".

5. The Abhay ' Sur love track ' this one I am not sure about. But, it could give you a chance to leave K.S. alive. For instance, if Abhay hurts Sur and he is the one AP kills or appears to kill. While in actuality K.S. is maybe the real killer.

Threats:

There are plenty out there with a similar audience that KMH must compete with (YRKKH, Raja Ki Aayegi, DMG, BV, and MJHT). The way to counter those shows is to be innovative with both all our resident love birds. Don't keep them apart. Show us it's possible to have tension without constant separation. Give us Hatke and Romance without continuity lapses or promo Jhatkes.

P.S. How about a new song for Arohi's latest contest just so we know she has range? Don't get me wrong we still love the KMH song, but realism is priceless.

Buddies😊, so its like a see-saw at KMH these days Monday high, Tuesday low, Wednesday high, Thursday ??😕 , lets go see what we have in store today at KMH.......to the epi pals......😃

We at mumbai and KS ki studio ,and I have to pause and laugh at the first dialogue itself, so give me a min or two ppl, I am dying laughing here🤣🤣🤣. Abhay says "Pura eek mahina" and background mein we can see group of dancers dancing and me dying laughing🤣🤣🤣. Now you ppl thinking yeh Anu ko subah subah kya hogaya right? 🤣🤣🤣. I have an explanation buddies, did u see what is the song those group of dancers dancing to? Its the one and only KMH song , ya ya the remixed verion 🤣🤣🤣.......now last time , when arohi entered KS office to sing ,they were doing the final rehearsal for that one and only song and now after a MONTH they still practicing the same old one and only song🤣🤣🤣 .....wah wah........attaining PERFECTION , what perfection man🤣🤣 .....any word greater than perfection ho tho they trying to attain that. 🤣🤣🤣.... Anyways lets move on from that first frame , Abhay asks KS "Its been a month that you have been acting so goody good infront of Arohi , its quite shocking " KS responds "You wont understand" , even we cant understand so bechare Abhay ka kya kasoor 🤣🤣🤣. In the background there is Abhay's mom , and KS says "Teri marriage problem yahan thak agayi" 🤣🤣, so finally we get to see some marriage at KMH. Dost aur Arohi ka naa sahi chalo Abhay ki shaadi se kaam chelalenge 🤣🤣. KS says "Mujhe dekh mere aghe peeche koi nahin hai" and me dying 🤣🤣🤣..., KS u gone semi blind, tere samne Abhay jo hai 🤣🤣🤣. Sorry jokes apart but as far as I remember KS has a mom naa😛, who lives somewhere in UP and who doesnt wear Salwars remember ppl?🤣🤣 I so like to meet her BTW , I am eager to see what COLORED mini skirt she wears 🤣🤣🤣. KS tells Abhay that he never will marry anyone, so is that indication of how badly he is going to trap arohi but never marry her?😕 Abhay goes to meet his Marriage problem 🤣🤣I mean his mom and there comes our dost ji into the empty spot in the frame 🤣🤣. I mean to say he comes and occupies the spot which Abhay was standing at and now lets see what he does. BTW dost is wearing Brown strapped shirt, but dont even dream that he changed trousers....🤣🤣🤣...its the same old black jeans 🤣🤣🤣. I wonder KS is not paying him enough to but one more trouser , Oh how can I forget , its my bad, now that purvi has arrived he has to feed her too, so bechare ke paas paisa nahin hai 🤣🤣🤣. KS acts excited at the sight of Dost. Loved how he says "Tu ne goli jo chelayi thi" 🤣🤣cunning fellow but then he immediately follows it up with "Arohi pe" ....🤣🤣.....Loved it man dushman ho tho KS jaisa 🤣🤣... I felt bad when Dost says "I know, ek mahine mein KAAFI KAREEB agaye ho eek dusre ko". KS tho kameena hai uspe kya expectations but I feel like killing arohi on the spot😡😡. KS pokes at his line saying "Yeh tumhari jelan hai yaaaa......."😉 , Dost looking at KS in the eye responds "Nafrath" 👏. Loved it , perfect timing, but then he immediately changes his stance saying "Tumhe tho patha hai mein usse kitna nafrath kartha hoon"🤣🤣 . Kya tagda fight chel raha tha partners mein , ek se bad kar eek chalu ppl🤣🤣. Dost asks KS for how long he is going to take , to vent out his vengance on Arohi. KS looking into dost's eye now responds "Ab dekh mein kaisa badla letha hoon......Dosti kaa haath badake" . Wow just loved this convo SUPERB👏 . Dushmani bhi kya class se nikhal rahein hai yeh dono. Karan and HT just rocked the scene with perfect dialogues, modulation and expressions👏👏.

Abhay's scene with his mom, he and she talking abt his marriage , which Iam least interested in, but loved his mom's line "Mere rumal bhi unke kapdon se bada hai" , She leaves and Arohi arrives😆 . Abhay tells her that KS is not interested in getting married and our mother theresa ko daya aajathi hai. She has to get into personal lives of her boses naa😡😡.....Pehle dost ke personal life mein interfere ki.......usse barbaad kardi😡😡 , now its KS's turn, waise KS will suit perfect to play the barbaad lover role🤣🤣.....perfect hairstyle naa 🤣🤣🤣...Anyways Dost and KS talking and Miss sharma arrives , she tells KS that she wants to talk to him about his PERSONAL LIFE😡😡.......I felt like shoving some bricks at her at the scene😡😡 , but kya karun dosti se majboor hoon, My dost's GF so cant say anything. Chalo chodo they go into a room and start talking, background mein our James bond(read Dost) 😆😆 listening to their convo. Arohi asks KS why he never thinks abt his personal life and I was like tujhe kya jaatha hai, why ru so interested in him IDIOT😡😡. KS ki kameena look wapis,he thinks to himself "Tho abhay ne apna kaam kar di hai" and gives a cunning smile😡. Arohi ka apna life ke barein mein tho kuch patha nahin ,but yeh lo she is giving advice to kameena boss I mean KS , she asks him to get married😡. Dost looking at them from the glass door is so sad😭, everytime I see him in this scene ,I feel like killing arohi😡. Iam totally mad at her today. KS tells Arohi that "Koi aake chela bhi gaya, its a very emotional story" sach much ka nautanki hai yeh KS..... 🤣🤣🤣.... Dost looking sad again at this line man its just hurting me badly😭😭. But luckily KS adds "Phir kisi din bathaonga" and me jumping around in happiness , chalo he spared us from his Imaginatve GF ki Imaginative kitani Mohobbat hai ......🤣🤣🤣🤣..........Finally Arohi gives up her bakwaas mission of the day "Convince-KS-For-Marriage" and leaves the room. Dost in the background keeps watching her while she is passing him ,I just loved it😳😳. KS in the foreground "Shaadi ka daan daalthe hi ladka kitna genuine lagtha hai" .....🤣🤣... How cunning and kameena hai KS😡😡 . HT acted superbly here, Kritica was good too , but again Karan looks damn good in this scene with those perfect expressions in the background👏👏👏.


Dost ki voice over and he says "Aur eek din darwaaze pe hue Dastak ne pal bar mein ham sab ki zndagi badal di , uss din jo insaan ayaa woh Arohi ke zindagi mein eek naya mod le aya" . This line is giving me some hope of a faint light in the deep end corner😳😳. Lets see how the story unfolds from now on😍😍😍. The person rings the door bell and we are shown Arohi Riyaazing😆😆 over harmonium and me died laughing 🤣🤣🤣....when did Arohi but Harmonium yaar? 🤣🤣. Sur opens door and its their bua. I literally died laughing at Arohi's "Purvi di yaha hai, aap bhi yaha agaye, phir antara aur baba bhi aajathe tho aisa lagth ki hum shimla mein hi hai" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Man so she wants to convert Bindu kundra's apt into Sukh niwas || 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Sur introduces 🤣🤣....bua to their apt or apt to bua whatever 🤣🤣and stumbles upon her own words , she doesnt understand what to tell bua abt arjun staying with them in that apt. Now thats good , but the problem is sur ki expression less😡😡 face pe I had to imagine expressions of tension 🤣🤣🤣. Purvi asks bua "Aappki HARIDWAR ki yatra kaisi rahi" and me banging my head here , serioulsy , wasnt Bua supposed to be in US ??😲😲 When did she go to haridwar?😲😲 Oh may be on the way to mumbai her flight landed in haridwar 🤣🤣🤣. Bua adds "Mein tho SHIRIDI bhi ho aayi" .....my head banging continues....so it looks like the flight from US flew over Haridwar and shirdi and landed in mumbai .......🤣🤣🤣🤣... Bua tells purvi that she came on a mission ......ya ya u all heard it right , she also on mission now "Get-Arohi-Married" . Purvi tells Bua that Arohi may not agree for the marriage , they plan to convince Arohi. Bua tells Purvi that she wants to rest. Purvi ACTS(??😕😕😕) tensed, ya ya the bolded part I had to assume 🤣🤣🤣....but now I was like why is she tensed?😲😲 Cant bua rest in Arohi's room? 😲😲What nautanki man😡😡. Sur tells Arohi that if bua gets to know that Dost lives with them , then she(Read bua) may end up telling to it HP(who now residing in US 🤣🤣) and they may have to leave mumbai and go back to shimla🤣🤣. Arohi ki bulb jal jaathi hai finally🤣🤣 .....and runs to stop bua entering dost's room. But bua already enters Dost's room ....wah wah kya drama hai 🤣🤣....Bua gets to know that some guy lives in that room and the guy's pic in the frame and the guy none other than dost....hoooooofffffff...........bahut hi tensed mahool tha believe me 🤣🤣🤣....mujhe bahut tension horahi thi .......WHAT CRAP MAN........🤣🤣🤣..

Bua gets to know the whole KMH ki story🤣🤣....luckily we spared the 5month torture .......🤣🤣......and starts crying , tells Arohi "Mumbai aaneke baad tum bachiyon ko kitna SANGARSH karna pada" .Me had to die at that word, kya sangarsh ki hai bachiyon naa....sachi 👏👏🤣🤣🤣.........Bua asks Arohi to get married , Arohi says they are ready to shift from the flat but she not ready for marriage YET😡.Bua tells that the guy she got is from media and that the proposal is from the guy's side.She also adds that they(read Guy's side ) saw Arohi in her studio, arohi acts surprised. Passing the parcel kelthe hain uss bakwaas ladke😡 ki photo ke saath and finally after they get bored playing the game 🤣🤣.......they hand over the photo to arohi. Arohi acts as if she isnt interested , but for me I was feeling she wanted to see who that IDIOT is😡😡 ...I hate arohi plssss.....dont kill me Anjana but I seriously hate her today.Not liking a bit. Arohi opens the envelope and TA-DA any guesses buddies??😉😉🤣🤣 Arey yaar Iam telling u this is just MINDBLOWING and UNBELIEVABLE TWIST of the CENTURY 👏👏🤣🤣🤣.........CRAZY man😡😡 ......yeh hatke hai kya??😲😲 Its what we all guessed buddies........that idiot KS😡😡.. Arohi gets shocked. Bua and Arohi have some lines abt jeena , cheth(roof), ladka , samaj, SANSKAR.... whatever I careless so dont feel like writing abt it.Finally Bua convinces Arohi to go meet KS and talk to him. Iam not sure if Arohi will do that or no. I am just fuming over that girl today as she is indirectly hurting dost which I cant bear to see. Bua tells them that they cannot stay with Dost in that flat anymore. Sur ki bachi ki zabaan chel jaathi hai she says she will talk to dost and do somethng abt it.... 😡😡🤣🤣... Arohi says "Humein tho iss ghar se jaana padega naa" and TA-DA😃😃... ya one more tada.......🤣🤣.........Dost in the background listening to that line gets a hint that they cant live together anymore......bada sharp hai iska brain 🤣🤣.....He acts as if he is talking to someone on the phone says "Party , sunday ko , aur tu chahtha hai ki mein tere banglow mein aake rahoo? Not a bad idea....waise bhi tu jaantha hai mein yahan kitna bore hotha hoo...its sad" ... looks at arohi and me feeling utmost sad at this scene😭😭. He packs his bag .........BTW his bag changed color from red to black.......Now I heard mumbai aake LOG badal jaathe hai.......but yahan pe tho bag bhi badal jaathe hai 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. He has one of Arohi's pic in his room , he looks at it 😭.....packs it up and leaves . KMH male version playing. Arohi says to herself "Kaash mein Bagwaan se dua maangi hothi ki yeh insaan meri zindagi mein aatha hi nahin.....zindagi kitni alag hothi"😡😡........ya ya it would have been different ,she still roaming around shimla roads ..........pagal kahin ki😡😡......I JUST HATE HER TODAY😡😡.......and Its a MASTERPIECE TODAY😡😡.......... CREATIVES "Aur kitna sathouge humein?" 😍😍😍😍


NOPRECAP: My guess, KS proposes Arohi and she agrees😡.

1)Aditi and Aruna , I was just joking abt the Anjan's Swot and the prem kahani , she asked me to create a mystery around it and I ended up creating confusion 😍🤣🤣....
2)No actor bashing , no taking things personally, no using foul language at Adda.Adda will remain as clean and neat as it always was 😊.

I was so amused by today's episode.. starting with KS-Arjun lovers tiff.. Arjun reacting to KS' mention of Arohi.. me only thought of K's Bromance and how Punji's heart went up in flames thinking about KS getting married.. 😆Me imagining Punji crying phoot phoot ke and becoming band wala in this shadi of his exes 😆

Anu how did you miss LCD in Dost's room when Bua went snooping around??? No one cares about electricity conservation or were Punji's bed and littered clothes watching the cricket match?? 😉😆😆 Either ways I thought the LCD as always was a major blooper in that scene.. 😆😆

Anjana one more reuse... Arohi was playing Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo on the harmonium... now practice tunes also recycled!

@ K - 😆 Homeless Angel Punji ka tubelight kidhar hai? 😆

Arohi is sooo besharam, Arjun was d one who paid the deposit of 2 lacs..... if she wud have any self respect, soooooo sansakari ladki ( she wud have tried to pay back his 2 lacs as deposit)..... sab kucch muft ka free main chahiye iss ladki ko.... he was given that house on rent, Arohi toh faltoo ko rehne il gaya coz of Arjun, now luk at this gurl....it was sooooo sad hes already penniless thnks to miss sharma, now he has been deprived of that too again to miss sharma....i hope ks teaches her a good lesson....arjun is better in jail, no taking care of arohi n her family jhamelasssss.....

Guys Ketka mam should change this serial name KITANI KURBANI DOOO???? Now our Mahaan Ap will let Arohi marry KS as well
