After ending the heated discussion on the other thread, I decided to make a lighthearted topic. So DM-ians, what had the DM section of IF given you? What things did it teach you? Do you feel any impact on your life due to joining and participating in this forum? Any advantages? Disadvantages?

I know this isn't a topic that could be debated - but meh, I just wanted to know DM-ian's opinions and thoughts regarding this forum, and how it had impact on their life.

I've learnt alot from many sensible and mature members here,i feel i've bcom l'il more sensible after meeting them here.
What things did it teach you?
It didnt teach me anything honestly😳
Do you feel any impact on your life due to joining and participating in this forum?
Ummmmm.......................not really,Since i forget things after i logout😳
Any advantages?
Many, like it has brought confidence in me i always prefered to type less..... my frens used to make fun of my one liners.......................but here i cannt stop myself posting ,i feel like replying to all........lol......its great being here😊
Disadvantages?
Not too many but just one things irks me when people directly taunt at my religion or state their opinion eventhough i respect their opinion still i feel religion is a very sensitive issue i prefer not to disscuss it much esp when im not a scholar and an ordinary person!

I have learned that people are stupid, and no matter how hard you try you can't change that.

Wish I could have that ability, too. 😆 For some reason I can never differentiate between the real and the virtual world (not that the virtual world isn't real), hence, to me, this world of IF keeps on going over my head, even after I have log-out. 😆

Okay, obviously I was kidding. I don't need IF to learn that people are stupid - I see that in the world everyday. 😆 So, on a serious note:

Umm, I still want to strangle Gauri di at times for dragging me to this section, and myself, for getting addicted, as usual. 😆 But this section is of course a lot of fun. After coming here, I have realized that I'm pretty stupid and usually don't know what I'm talking about.

And I also think that sometimes people find my "knack for shifting topics" (as Sarina calls it 😆) extremely annoying. But I honestly do think that even debates need a touch of humor at times. 😆

Thanks for posting this topic, Labib!

Bhalai ka toh zamana hee naheen raha😆
DM has taught me many things. Can't be listing all that here though😆 One thing that will top all others is that it had taught me how wasting time can come back and haunt you later. I learned self control here.
