I totally agree along with the respect to licrics, song, singer and etc but to sing a song itself is hard and to sing it with emotion its even hard but vineet sang it so beautifully that people started crying. I agree that song is beautifull but the Vineet needed some pontential to make this song worth emotional and he did it. Its gr888 and he is awsome so vote for him and vote out debu.

Kapil has this habit of crying when in public eye... Also, the song is outstanding and moving as well...
Javed and Anu Malik did a Good job. Sonu executed it well.. Vinit copied it well...

Why make a big deal abt Kapil Dev crying.

My eye's swell up anytime I listen to this song-Such is the lyrics and such is the depth....any average singer who knows ABC of music will be able to sing it. So before voting guys please analyze the song they have selected and then judge their song they have selected.

I am not supporting Vinit here and he, sure, is not my favorite. But I disagree to the opinion voiced here that any singer can do justice to a well written and well composed patriotic song and bring out emotions in you.

There are certain voice types that are more suitable to patriotic songs. Remember -- mere desh ki dharati, sona ug le, ug le hire moti (Upkaar) and hai preet jahan ki reet sada, main geet wahan ke gata hu (Poorab aur Pacchim), 2 of the greatest ever patriotic songs? Manoj Kumar, who had always used Mukesh as his playback, used Mahendra Kapoor for these 2 songs (both composed by KA) because his voice was perfect for these kinds of songs. I wouldn't have liked to hear these 2 songs in Kishoreda or Mukeshji's voice (with all due respect to both of them -- they both are my favorites otherwise). I do not think they could have brought in the kinds of emotions that Mahendra Kapoor brought in.

Very True. Manoj Kumar and Mahendra bapu as we used to call him they were popular for patriotic movie and songs.

THERE ARE TWO THINGS HERE, FIRSTLY KAPIL DEV IS NOT A REGULAR LISTENER OF MUSIC, SECONDLY THIS SONG ITSELF IS WRITTEN SO NICELY ANYBODY WOULD WEEP, FOR EXAMPLE OF NATIONAL ANTHEM LET ANYONE SING THE RESPECT GIVEN IS HIGH AND SAME, SO ITS NOT VINEET WHO MADE KAPIL CRY ITS THE LYRICS AND DEEP MEANING IN IT, HOPE EVERYONE UNDERSTAND IT AND ALSO UNDERSTOOD.

ONE CANNOT DRAW VOTES WITH THIS KIND OF JUDGEMENT, EVERYONE SHOULD CAREFULLY LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND THE CONSISTENCY AND SITUATION AND THEN VOTE.

EXACTLY LIKE U SAID UNDERSTAND THE "CONSISTENCY" IN VINITZ PERFORMANCES OVER TIME...FROM THE VERY VERY BEGINNING N VOTE FOR HIM

Why doesn't Vinit ever attempt a kishore kumar song in the mentometer round ? Now don't tell me that there are no worthy songs sung by kishore kumar to be sung ....

Vinit may be a good singer, but anybody who has a fair idea of music can see that singing "Aye Zindagi gale lage le" or "Hai rama" needs more effort than "Sandeshe aate hain" ....

Yes, there were a lot of tears on the show ... a lot of melodrama ... but was it a result of Vinit's singing ? Nope ... every emotion poured out only for the song ... the beautiful lyrics of the song and for the hand that rocks the cradle ... "mother" ....

😉

Vinit does a fine act with Sonu Nigam's song (Rafi's as well ... whom sonu apes) but he needs to perform in the other genres to really show his mettle ...

😉 😉 😉
