RNBDJ-an eyeopener?

The scenes preceding song was all too amazing!The samay scene was too sweet.Samrat looked vulnerable and Gunjan looked so heartbroken.The scene where she says that if she drops the flower would he understand that she wants him to leave was too touching!Very nice emotions...

It felt like Samrat needed a nudge from his heart to realise that Gunjan was the one...that she had always been the one ..the only one for him!
But did RNBDJ live upto the expectations?
The song started on a flat note.Samrat and sheena walking towards eachother..somehow it wasnt as dramatic as it should have been.Sheena should wear smthg more jane-ish...she looked like a club dancer turned bollywood item girl!But the choreography was nice...it was well in tuned with the mood.Something too difficult,just emoting....n the same steps from khuda jaane suited in very well!!

Now to emoting:Sheena had a smile plastered....it never wavered!No change in expression.
Gunjan was fab as always...loved the way her eyes emote...slowly you see the pain building up and when she dropped the flower,her hand trembled slightly as though she was giving up smthg more that just a flower....smthg which means the world to her.
Samrat looked bewildered...he looked confused throughout the song.Good thing his eyes never wavered from Gunjan...but he just looked overwhelmed..even when the crowd of memories kept on coming.He looked touched but there was no beam of realisation...no burst of light showing him his heart.Yes!He realised that gunjan is important to him but thats it!It didnt seem to show him that it was love...that he felt for her.

I think the flashbacks were too frenzied,too quickly done...there was no climax building up..there was no flashes of the longings he felt for her and there was no slow steady hints of realisation...For me RNBDJ couldnt act as an eye opener..maybe because the song was wrong!It would have been better if a slow romantic number would have been chosen..they could have show how samrat identified the emotions in the song and felt it only related to what he felt for gunjan...

I didnot like the last scene building up to the song that much...the others I liked esp the one when Gunjan answers yes to Sam's question in the makeup room. And of course the short fanaa song parts were poignant as well....expressive w/o any words shared btw the two


Totally agree w/ur point that the song started on a flat note that didnot go w/the beat of the song....the intro should have had more of an impact but sadly it didnot in terms of the choreography!
But i did like Samrat n Gunjan's expressions at the start.

Sheena's outfits for the play have been anything but Jane-ish. Did the designers forget what character Sheena is playing?? 😕

some of the flashbacks were nice but like u said, too quickly done to leave an impact....they didnt have the effect I thought they would.
I also didnot like Sheena-Samrat flashbacks in the song....it just wasn't what i had expected 😕
but overall, the song editing was done well...

for me the highlight of rab ne was Samrat imaging in gunjan while dancing and the end with the dialogues and Gunjan walking away (this was a moving moment)

yea they both act really well in the song..it was looking so real..

@black- exactly yaar even i think they shouldn't have shown ss flashbacks as it wasn't required
and me to loved that part where sam imagines gunji.......and loved their dialogues there also

i think flashbacks were imp cuz those were special moments spend by sajan n they were remembering them. i luv samrat for not moving his eyes from gunjan, sheena was infront of him but he was concentrating on gunjan.☺️ i luv dat part in which he visualize gunjan dancing wid him instead of sheena.😳👏but i hate it when samrat too put his arms around sheena while they were hugging.😡🤢 i agree wid u neha, sheena was looking like a club dancer turned into item girl🤣
