The way Nanaji bid goodbye was very symbolic, so I too think something might happen to him. But don't see how that will halt Khemi-Shambu wedding. Nanaji had already informed DM about Khemi's engagement. So DM might take it upon himself to make sure Khemi is married to whoever her grandfather had decided.

i was thiking this as well. i hope they still find away to get Kehmi and Hiten together.

What does that make any diff. Hiten is there and he has to come home nanaji or not . I am just simply irritated that story is not moving at the interesting angle.

Or Nanaji might tell DM to make sure the marriage happens, should he fall ill or pass away.

It's very sad to even think about it. Nanaji is such a lovely character! But there is some reason why Khemi has entered the Mahiyavanshi house and I don't see her returning just like that.

My guess is that he might not make it back and then DM will take on the responsibility of Khemi and Monghi. We all know that Hiten will also be returning home, and then Hiten-Khemi love story will continue. If Nanaji passes away then Sambhu and Khemi's wedding will halt as well.
