Well, we don't know that. So far, only the Sagars and BRC have made Ramayan serials (as I know of) and BRC's Ramayan did not become very famous. RS's Ramayan was brilliant as we all know and AS's Ramayan also topped the TRP chart in its initial stages (before Uttar Kand), but the Uttar Kand in this serial was bungled up for a while and only now has retained the Ramayan magic. It will be very sad when it ends because all in all, it was a very good serial. However, there could be other directors out there wanting to make a Ramayan and we should encourage them because whoever makes it, it is still one of the greatest epics of India. But one thing I've noticed so far....many directors have made serials/movies based on Ramayana and Mahabharata, but only the Sagars have retained the religious aspect of them so far. Everyone else, while making good serials/movies, have presented them in a manner which we will enjoy but not give much thought to after it is done, while the Sagars' serials are full of bhakti and sangeet, which draws their audience in and makes them not forget if for as long as they live.😊Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan and Shri Krishna serials were very well taken and full of bhakti rasa which I never get bored of watching, while Anand Sagar's Ramayan and Meenakshi Sagar's Jai Shri Krishna are also equal in the bhakti aspect. This is what I like about the Sagars, no matter what they lack in another field. I cannot watch mythological serials if they do not contain good devotional songs or bhakti, even if they are 100% accurate.

Very well put Lalitha. What sets the Sagars apart from other producers/directors (despite goofs in the script) is the Bhakti element. We should really thank them for retaining that.
