I'm not sure what happened to Urmila, Mandvi and Shrutkirti.

The 3 queen mothers passed away sometime after Sita's passing. Rajmata Kaushalya died surrounded by all her relatives and Rajmatas Sumitra and Kaikeyi followed soon after.

Regarding Urmila's reaction, I am not sure if she was there at that time.

Lakshman, when he was banished and disowned by Ram, went straight to Sarayu and gave up his life.

Nothing is mentioned about Urmila, Mandvi and Shrutkirti after Sita went into the Earth.

Vibs is correct. In fact, after showing Kush-Luv's union w/ Rama and Kaushalya, the voice-over in the serial mentions that the 3 rajmatas died some time after that. (Personally, I wish they had shown 1 more week with an episode of K-L integrating w/ the family, an episode of the rajmata's passing away 1 after another, an episode of Bharat conquering Gandhara and installing his sons, one of Lakshman conquering Karupadhadesh and installing his, the passing of Lakshman and Rama following him. Only problem - that would butt into Rakhi's swayamvar. Given the way other NDTV Imagine shows have been doing in-place ads for it in the serial, I'm surprised they didn't find a way to incorporate that here 😉)

One thing one might try and deduce from 7:99 is that when the 3 rajmata's passed away, it was described that they were surrounded by their sons and grandsons. No mentions of their daughters-in-law. There are 2 ways of reading that:
  1. It was a simple oversight on Valmiki's part in omitting the mention of UMS as surrounding their dying m-i-l's
  2. Between Sita's passing and the rajmata's passing, Urmila, Mandavi & Shrutakirti too passed away. I doubt that they went into the earth w/ Sita, or that too would have been in the description. They may have died naturally one after another after Sita's passing, and Valmiki may not have thought it worth mentioning. 😕
I tend to go w/ #2. I however concede that the evidence here for that is flimsy at best.

But # 1 is also possible. Sons and grandsons just mentions the men of the family. The ladies could have been there too. If Maharishi Valmiki had mentioned Sons, grandsons and her sisters Sumitra and Kaikeyi, I would tend to agree with # 2.

I tend to think that Urmila, Mandvi and Shrutkirti were not around when Ram entered Sarayu. Nothing is mentioned about Mandvi and Shrutkirti accompanying Bharat and Shathrugan who went with Ram. Another option is that they stayed on with their sons but I find this option quite incredible.

I too wish they could have extended the series for a week and showed the event you have mentioned. I wish there were some family scenes - Luv Kush being fed and hugged by their aunts and grandmothers, dressed up in royal clothes by their uncles, Ram speaking with his sons about many many things, Luv Kush playing and bonding with their cousins, and Hanuman playing with all 8 kids. I too wish they had shown Bharat and Lakshman's conquests and the Rajamatas passing away. The only series in which I saw the scene was in Jai Hanuman.

urmila was alive i think at time of lakshaman's mahaprayan b'cuzits mentioned in uttar ramayan (valmiki) tht lakshamana went straight to sarau without visiting his palace...it must be urmilla waiting for him in palace why else valmiki would have mentioned this thing.

Again i do not think the three ladies commited mahaprayan b'cuz when valmiki has mentioned dhanush ,kavach how can he forget mentioning them...maybe they stayed with their son. or its possible that as per that yug sage thought its obvious for ladies 2 follow their husbands n didn't mentioned it

Sumant ji was alive at the time of Maharaj Dasharath and Maharaj Ram. It is mentioned that he was a great friend of Maharaj Dasharath.

He was there when Ram was coronated but after that I don't think the epic mentions his name. I'm not sure if he was there when Devi Sita went into the Earth but it is possible that he was still around that time. After that I am not sure. As far as I know he was not an incarnation of any heavenly or celestial being.

It is possible that it was this way but since nothing is mentioned we cannot be sure.

Even Maharaj Dasharath, the Rajamatas, Maharaj Janak were humans and not incarnations but they too lived long.

I too thought that he passed away when his time came or if he was to live longer guided Luv - Kush had some other minister as far I as I recall from Raghuvamsa. But I find this highly unlikely. Either he passed away before Ram entered the Sarayu or entered the Sarayu along with Ram.
