Part 1
Prem checked into his watch umpteenth number of time during his ride back home, hoping she hadn't left yet.
After the scene he created in the restaurant, if she did, he couldn't blame her either. Instructing the taxi driver to drive faster, he pressed his temple to sooth the uneasiness oozing from him. He knew his Heer quite well , she can bear anything but his bitterness and today he crossed his limits. He questioned his 'life' about her chastity.
'Damn Prem!!!', he muttered under his breath, but the realization of the sin done by him was pretty late after Heer and Rajveer left the restaurant. Even he left the restaurant immediately, wandering aimlessly and recalling their encounters since day one till this day. And then it hit him, what had he done?? How could have questioned her? How could he foul mouth her? He even pushed her hard . Prem clenched his jaw at the thought of hurting Heer.
"Didn't you decide by yourself, that you'll listen to your heart that sees Heer's love? Then how could you Prem, how could you?", his mind kept on taunting him repeatedly and made him feel guilty more.
The tyres screeching on the road , followed by a halt , brought Prem out of his trance and he flew inside his house ,paying the driver, searching her, with faintest hope dangling that she hadn't left.
He entered his dark room, gloomy all through, searching for her. His panic growing every single second, his worst fear of separation threatening to come true.
That's when he saw her, to his relief, standing on their balcony, staring at the moon, her back shaking. She's broken, he cursed himself and made his way towards her, debating, if he lost his right to sooth her.
He heard her sob, a quite painful one, that ripped him apart. Then he heard her talking in her cell "Tujhe to pata hai na Raj, maine Prem k bhalayi k liye hi yeh sab kiya tha. Usse saach chupayi ta ke uspar aanch na aaye. Magar usne kaise'." She couldn't complete her words and broke down.
Prem stood far listening. Her words confusing him. What is the trouble through which he is going through, yet he is unaware?, he wondered. He sensed mystery into the whole fiasco and decided to find out the truth , tonight itself.
