Muhurtham Updates Jan - Feb 2006

a quick recap.
deepak and sneha are married and have gone to "singapore" and atthai has gone to visit temples.
durga is taking care of a sick rajasekhar.

January 05, 2006 Thursday updt

Durga fusses over Rajasekhar (deepaks dad) and sleeps on a chair beside his bed. The man-help comes in the morning with coffee and Rajasekar wakes Durga up and gives her coffee. She is aghast at having slept at all but he brushes aside her apologies and insists she drink the coffee meant for him and take the day off from work. Subbiah says he will take care of his master. Durga says she feels fresh and once after being awake in the morning, it is unlike her to take rest for the rest of the day and insists she go to work as soon as she freshens up and goes home after giving a million instructions to Subbiah. (too much puLLa - irukka vEndiyadhu dhaan, aanaal, romba too much-aa pOraa - she shd have made sure the night the doctor was summoned and left it at that or at least called her dad for help)
at home, Durga's dad notices his wife wants to say something to Durga who is drying her just-washed hair and she finally says was it necessary to spend the night at that house? Durga shd have let the man-help take care and Durga flares up and says, why is her mom thinking like this, does she suspect her own daughter and what if people comment on that, her heart is pure and so are her intentions and Rajasekhar is her mudhalaaLi and above all he is her God since he showed her the outside world and gave her a job and made her stand on her own two feet (earlier, it was shown that she stood on borrowed feet - one from mom and one from dad - of course, Sneha had bitched abt that - she not only refused to loan one of hers but said, how come only Durga has no feet and gets to use both of yours but I am born with perfect feet? God, here is a janmam who is never satisfied)

ok, jokes aside, Durga is really mad and goes on and on abt the virtues of Rajasekar and how even his sister is not there and so are Deepak and Sneha (yeah, right, Sneha would have been the first one to stand in line to play Florence Nightingale) and so it is up to her not to abandon that God while he was very sick. (all this for fever, God forbid if he were to have heart attack!) The mom is not satisfied and says she knows abt Durga and her good will but oor vaay enna sollumO and dad supports and is smiling at Durga indulgently (oh, what a great daughter I have look) and finally mom leaves the room.

Janani is upset at work and Thyaagu spots her and she confides abt getting the two weddings done separately as per the Aunty's wishes (durgas mom) and how Giri insulted Kalidas big time for each matter when Kalidas broached the subject and how after her parents' death and Manju's imprisonment, it was Kalidas who was the acting parent and he always has her best intentions and even set aside his original varan for her and acquiesced to her love interest and now Giri insults him at each juncture on the basis of one mistake that Kalidas made. Thyaagu says he will talk to Giri, that basically he is a good man and he will make Giri apologize to Kalidas. Janani continues to work and opts not to go home for a day off, as Thyaagu suggests.

The bad villi is waiting impatiently for a adiyaaL near a temple and reprimands him when he comes late and gives him a lemon (mandirichadhu) to be kept somehow in a corner of any room in Kalidas's house. He baulks at the idea of going to Kalidas's but she gives him ideas - how he can go disguised as a salesman, telephone guy, cable guy, plumber, etc and then proceeds to list out what would happen once the lemon is placed. Kalidas and his garlicky relatives (avan kudumbam poondOda ozhiyumnu sonnaa - I just made a literal translation) would see utter disaster.

any close-ups, be it teeth or face (especially in tele-serials) gives me an allergy as they are badly made up. wish they would stop the practice.

Mainpoints for the past 2 days


- Manju has a bad dream that kalidas is in trouble & probably stabbed, (kalidasthan oru sensible character, aVanai kOnutta, Kadhai kandal ayidum).

- Rajasekar & athai give durga a set of bangles, which i think rajasekar bought with his first salary to his wife

- Durga first refuses to accept the bangle(yeah think girl think) but hten gives in to rajus's & athai's love & katayam - (ithuthan muhurthanthin adutha kattamo)

- DUrga goes home and happily shows the bangles to her parents, her mom is not very happy to see that, so durga takes it off, then dad encourages her to wear it so she puts it back.

- durga is back at raju's house, to get some sign on a quotation(,isnt she the cook at their work, aDupadiyaleyum quotation uh)at that time our good old raju, suggests that durga gets plastic surgery done on her face, that is right, & athai & him talk about getting her married once they fix her face(durga raju kitta irunthu, konjum dhurave irruma)

- Jans goes to meet manju in jail, & they talk about jans wedding, & how jan is sad to see manj's miss the event, manjs requests jans to bring giri so she can see him Jans promises & goes straight to the no brain, selfish character, giri & excitedley tells him to come and meet manjs. Giri is his usual self & tells jans that he is from a respected family and so he cannot meet manjs the kOlaikari, Jans upset

kalidas meets upset jans, & she asks him to stop the wedding, kals puts on his goody goody cap this time & says how giri is the love of jans life & how there is truth in what giris said, & assures her that she can change giris. He also promises her that he will bring manjs' for the wedding. jans is all excited now, ( now im wondering if she is the loose character), anywayu

in the meantime shakthivinayam is paid a visit by the evil lady,radha's mamiar, & they once again congregate to plot to bring maju's family down

- shakthivinayagam meets giri & tells him bad things about jans & kalidas & how they both might have an affair, giri is disturbed

- Sneha the snake returns fromher honeymoon & goes to show off the watch that she got as a gift for Rajasekar, who is on the phone with durga, who isinquiring if S has returned. Sneha is so rude tointerrupt him & since R is engrossed in his conv to durga does not hear sneha, so sneha mam gets angry and yells and goes away,t his upsets R;s family

- durga comes to visit deepak & sneha, then athai forces her to eat with them, while durga startst o serve, deeepak comments on durga's bangles as they resemble his moms;' then deepak is elobarated on how those are his moms bangles but were given to durga by athai & R as shetook care of R

- sneha is fuming and goes away fromthe dininigtable she says those bangles rightfully belong to her as it is her mil's

- she talksbadly about R's & D's relationship to Deepak, who gets furious and tells her only time has to teach her a lesson

- sneha says she will takeback the bangle.

- sneha then goes to R & asksh im to take back the bangle he gave to durga, which he flat out refuses, & then they argue, & finally R's says it is my wifes bangles & from now on she dare not speak back to him any more, he has had enough, athai & a disappointed deepak & servant go away, sneha is fuming inside

- kalidas goes & warns SV.

- SV goes to giris house and sweet talks giri's sis & mom & finally talks bad about jans. Giri's sis does not buy into this and asks him to get out of their house, SV onceagain is overacting and threatening them

sneha is getting out of control. She stuck on getting the bangle back from durga, which was given to durga by her mamanar, she even goes to the extent of questioning her mamanar about how he can give the bangle to her, & indecently talks about her mamanars desires & durgas to deepak. deepak cannot tolerate this and they fight, they also end up fighting in front of athai. deepak says out of all the jewelleries you are bent on 2 bangles that were given out of nAnri, comeon , pigheaded sneha does not budge and her devious mind is plotting to get the abngle back, when the entire deepaks clan stand their ground about how they dont get back the things that they ahve given out. sneha drags durga who is visiting by her throat and throws her out of her house, durga is very hurt

sneha then ends up going to durgas house & yelling and asking for durga. she is so sick seriously she is definitley mental i think. her mom comes defending durga, when sneha starts showing her true colors, and confesses to her mom that she delibrately scared durga's face and she will go to any extent in hurting people whoever come her way. her mom & dad are shocked and her mom goes to hit her, sneha pushes her moms and says that no one shoudl come to her house hencforth

meantime shakthivinayagm kidnaps janani in the pretext of letting her know that kalidas is hurt , janani gets trapped and finds kalidas is also in the hands of SV's men. the manager character sees the kidnapping, but is very helpless. SV forces jans to marry his loose son, or he will blow kalidas with his own gun. so jans agrees, just when he is about to take the thali plate, giri comes and knocks it out and threatens to blow SV's sons head of if he does nto release kalidas. so far safe ending for jans & kalidas

durga comes to snehas house & warns her not to mess with her anymore, she will not see her soft side if sneha continues on thsi trip, she will have to face the wrath of durga. well sneha aSathu does not seem to get it and continues to go on her trip

hoping durga sets sneha right, to start with a few tight slaps might be good

ok jans goes with giris sister and gets conned by a fake samiar, in the name of dhristhi kazhithal, & ends up losing her eyesight, as the fake samiar is bought by Yogaamma, who pays him heftily to put some smoke which will make jans blinds, which is what happened

Kalidas & co are wondering who did this to jans, so the wedding is off for now

durga's & snehas war continues, as sneha out of her jealous rage makes another attempt at demeaning durga, she goes to durga's shop buys some sweets and throws it out in public thus creating a bad image for the sweet shop. this time durga is very upset and her dad goes and complains to rajasekar and co, who inturn warns sneha , who retorts by saying she will make everyone fall at her feet who treat her as enemy.

every one hates sneha so she goes and acts lke she is sorry, with her parents and durga no one buys that, this irritates her more and she employs a person who was fired by deepak and sends him to work for durga, saying that deepak sent him. all this conv is heard by the samayal karan in deepaks house

she also makes her fatherinlaws friend give a big sweet order to durga's store.

the person who is working for sneha with durga, poisons the sweets which will go to one set of childrens asharm. the children eat and fall sick and are rushed to the hospital.

Sneha arranges for rajasekar's friend to order sweets from her sis durga's shops and acts like she is a change dperson now.

well sneha's aide, works for durga and poisons the sweets to delivered to orphaned childern. All the children get sick and are hospitalised and the cops arrest durga.

RAjasekar & deepak bail her out. Sneha's aide comes to get money from her, the cook in sneha's house keeps watching sneha's association with this crooked man that deepak had fired from his work. Deepak comes at the right time and sees sneha with this man, sneha acts like she does not know this person and keeps telling him that she has no job. Deepak then chases that guy away and seems very angery. The samayal karan is still watching everything

RAjasekar goes to durgas house and consoles her and says that they will find the culprit.

Janani & kalidas return from teh doctor when his bike gets punctured, and kalidas leaves janani in a nearby park and goto get the mechanic, yogamma comes spots janani by herself and tortures her by honking etc and finaly tells it is her

giris sis & manager wed, giri is still on his selfish old ways

radha's mamaiaar has anew plan & according to that she gets close to her grandchild & is slowly poisoning his mind against his moms

durga is selling all her jewles & janani gives all her savings to durga to pay off rajasekars loan. durga's mom says i wish you were my daughter instead of sneha & tells janani that she keeps thinking that there might be some connection between sneha & the sweet poisoning

durga goes to rajasekars house and pays of the loan, but for sneha everyone is sad.

so far deepak knows about sneha & now athai overhears deepak warning sneha that he will not mind going to the cops about the news that she was the one who posioned the sweets, during one of their usual arguments. Athai asks deepak to let go of sneha and not live with a kolaikari, deepak says i dont want to do that now, cause i knwo my dad is not feeling very well & thsi might upset him.

parallelly that yogama has slowly but succesfully managing to poison her grandsons mind against kalidas & his own mother

manju had labor pains, & janani is still blind, deepk is trying to arrange for a job for durga due to his good infuluence

Just the main point of tonites episode, for those eager Muhurthamites 😊

main thing tonite was that the man who poisoned the sweets sees kalidas & durga near a temple and starts running, kalidas catches him & tells him that the person who asked him to mix the poison has admitted to it, kalidas just wants his statement. The man is so shocked and he confesses that durga's sister sneha was the one who asked him to mix the poison in the sweets, he begs durga to ask kalidas to forgive him , durga is in shock & kalidas is stiff, the man runs away
