After yesterday's episode it is clear that our country is still the same when it comes to regionalism.debojit got second highest and more than 73% of votes coming from eastern belt,so majority of poplulation who belong to west bengal and Assam are voting for him.I am also a bengali but i don't agree to this biased way of voting.people wake up vote for deserving candidates ,don't think to which part of india he/she belongs.To win this competition debojeet has very good chances what at the most he has to do is sing properly because one side of the country is totally biased,so it's not a big deal to attract some other regions also by taking a good song and performing in proper way no matter opponent mentors doesn't give him 10/10.wake up india before the slogan changes to "AAP KI CHOICE ASSAM KI VOICE" let the slogan be "INDIA"

Agree with u.... Voting should be done based on Thursday and Friday'd performance. Debo and Hema will rock the world.

I stay at a place near Kolkata but never voted for Ujjaini ever. Voted just twice for Debu... the days when he sang really good.

My home place is Shimla but did not vote even a single time for Rajeev. Because there were other better contestant. And I voted many time for Vinit and Hem.

My feeling is there is still a huge chunk of voters who vote after listening to the songs. Else Himani could not have got that high percentage of votes from Maharashtra. Yesterday she got about 18% from there while Nihira got 33%.

Yes regionalism is prevelant and maybe the main factor too. But still some are there who are voting irrespective of the region. Everyone is singing good... so jiska bhi achchha laga usko vote kar do....

Sorry Sujalfan if i hurt you,i didn't meant that whole of India is biased but still regionalism prevails otherwise paresh's mother-in-law who is staying in U.K for a long time should not have committed in public that himesh should support paresh being a gujrati and all "kutch samaj" is supporting paresh.why ujjaini used to appeal in bengali, debu in asamea ,himani in haryanavi and ofcourse hemu in telugu nihira and swananda in marathi ,rajeev in nepali.only two contestant sharib and vinit never used such tactics. common yaar every one knows to which part of india you have come from ,no need to remind again and again,this is a musical competition please don't make it "akhada" of language ,music itself is a language if you know this language well you will win.

If this si the case then what are Hems parents doing? spending 2 lakhs on publisizing. I dont think he getting votes just on his performances. He preformed really bad in the beggining and yet he is in. Now that Debo is preformingbad u want him out? Heck Debo has beaten vinit in fame saregamapa. Is it his fault that he has such a critical mentor and such a critical adueince wathcing him. If voting was done on thurs friday whows than swanada would have outclassed both himani and Nihira. She was one of the best. I think it isnt only Debo fans that need to wake up its everyone! INCLUDING HEM FANS

There is a a lot of regionalism prevalent in SAREGAMAPA .That's the reason why Debojit gets his votes only from Assam & Bengal and not from any other part of India even after giving brilliant performances.That's the reason why Raktima was voted out of the compettition .Why? Because Bengali votes were divided between her & Ujjaini.What were the people of Indian states doing ? It was not as if she performed under par , she was voted out only because SOME people from the rest of India did not care what happened to a Bengali.So SARKAR, I think you should think twice before accusing the Bengalis of regionalism because it is not the Bengalis alone who are affected by regionalism .It is a disease that runs deeply through almost ALL the Indian people's veins.

P.S. I am also a Bengali & I have to admit I did not expect this (your topic) from a Bengali.

I think nehira is a good singer and i also think that sa re ga ma pa is not everything. These singers are going to perform much better in future and music industry needs these young singers.

Regionalism doesn't not arrise but voting system is faulty and judges should be more.

you have taken me absolutely wrong ,I am also bengali but in my topic i have pointed out all the contestant about playing the card of caste talking in their mother tongue ,all these contestants know that this trick works,once BSNL's lines were down in Assam and debojit was allmost out of the contest,this clearly shows he is dependent on just one region to survive. twice he got maximum number of votes those two times he really sang well.i don't want to comment on topi natak and love affairs because i don't think these stupid topics are worth discussing,but still i would say India needs to look above regional factors in order to get a real talent.

aj ka show (9th jan) dekhneke bad HR ko ak chata laganeko mon chaha & i think vinit is good but he is not ready for 2005 .he can song well for 10/12 years child. & see what he tell about debu today.
