The beautiful actor is planning to auction her apparels and accessories to raise a sum of Rs. 50 lakhs to aid her mother Susanna's orphanage, 'Mercy Home' situated in Chennai.
"I will be helping my mother to raise a fund of Rs. 50 lakh, which is the amount required for the orphanage. My auction will create awareness and motivate people to come forward, which will further help the cause." says an excited Miss Kaif.
Kaif's mother is a stringent activist against female foeticide and is associated with 'Hope Reach' - a social organization.
Katrina wants to partake of her belongings to help support the orphanage that is close to her heart and this may also compel other celebrities to come forward and help in supporting similar causes to help the country.
