Dance India Dance to come back

Dance India Dance which concluded on May 30, is coming back with a second season. The show worked really well for Zee TV and an Indya source gave us details about it.

Our source from the show informs: "The first show got really good responses and that is how the makers(UTV) as well as the channel decided to come up with a second season immediately after three months. Right now they have only one singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champ which will go on for three months, the finale of the show is expected to be on air in October and after that we have heard this time DID's second season will be with the kids, however it is not confirmed yet."

"The shooting for the show will begin in the end of September, Jay Bhanushali will continue to host this season also. The finale of the show had more than 5 TRPs."

Prior to this Remo who was one of the mentors in the last season mentioned that he would love to be a part of the second season of this show, Geeta Kapoor and Terrence Lewis were other mentors on the show and Mithun Chakraborty was a judge. Soumya Tondon hosted the show along with Jay Bhanushali.

However, this is going to be for the first time that any reality show will have their second season so soon within four months, it has never happened, as mostly reality shows have their second season at least after a year. There are chances due to competition from other channels, as one of the channels is planning to do a singing reality show with kids, this show too will have kids in this season.

same here akanna....I like kids but I want to see the same standard of dancing and all the romantic stuff in dancing I wouldn't want to see it on the kids....I hope its with the adults....so one thing we know for sure that Remo is keen to be back on season 2.

Yes, little kids wont be able to do all the contemporary, salsa kind to the same effect and finish.. Not to mention about romance and chemistry! I remember Khushi showing naughty kinda expressions and moves in her dances in the ESBE CPBD show and Kunal was very upset about it.. Once he even called her choreographers on to stage and told them not to make her do it that she is a little kid... I liked Kunal as the judge, btw... If Remo is in for DID2 and it's kids, I hope he wont make them wear clothes like Khushboo did!! And not those belly dance moves either... I would prefer the DID show to remain as one for 15-25 age group and they can have a separate dance show for kids... 😊

I reallllllly hope the 2nd season isn't a kids version! If it is then it's probably not gonna get as many viewers and TRP's and this season did...

yaa, i agree! it might be cute watching kids dance, but what set DID apart from all the other dance shows was the high standard of dancing and the excellent variety of choreography. they wont be able to maintain that standard with children, and the level will have to be lowered

do u think if we wrote to zee and asked them NOT to make it a kids' show..they would actually listen? 😕
