| I want to cast Bebo or Priyanka: Jagmohan Mundhra Prithwish Ganguly / DNAWednesday, June 10, 2009 23:59 IST Mumbai: Film-maker Jagmohan Mundhra is on a realistic trip again as he has embarked upon an ambitious project inspired by the real life story of a woman, thrown out of the house by her husband who accuses her of infertility. Film-maker Jagmohan Mundhra while talking about his next film which is is based on female infertility.The director says that as soon as he read this story in the newspaper, he then and there decided to convert it on celluloid. He also adds that he would approach Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor to essay the character of this victimised woman. Jagmohan told DNA: "I was appaled to read the story of a beautiful young woman, married to a rich man who gave her a divorce and literally threw her out of the house because she would not conceive after marriage. The guy thought that it was her fault that they can't have babies and he ended their marriage without even consulting the doctor. This is quite a bitter truth in India. The men can't even think that they might have some problems and that they are not perfect. They always think the woman is at fault." He adds: "However, when this woman falls in love with another man, she becomes pregnant with his baby. This is the irony of the story where she realises that she was absolutely fine and that her husband wasn't. She also realises how easily she accepted that she was at fault without even consulting a doctor. For this film, I can't think of anyone other than Priyanka Chopra or Kareena Kapoor to play this woman. They would fit the bill completely but I have not approached anyone yet. The script is getting done but I would definitely approach the two and even others to play the lead for me. Even Dhruv has been pushed off till next year since she has no dates for the next 9 months. Stupid bebo! Way to fill up your diary with Agent Vinods and race 2s so that when a truely challening script comes your way, you can cite your typical date excuse.
