After popular Bollywood actors like Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and many others decided to skip the IIFA event 2009 at Macau, there were rumours that actor Shahid Kapoor too has decided to keep away from the event.It looked as if like this year?s IIFA at Macau will look absolute dull.

But just now, an hour ago, Shahid Kapoor has confirmed in his twitter profile that he would not only be present but he is also going to perform at the event. Its really a good news.

I think Twitter is kinda like Facebook or MySpace, just a bit annoying. Lol I didnt know he posted there either, just found out. Anyways, I dont wanna get all excited and then break my tv screen after he doesnt perform.

IIFA is acting all fishy this year, like its the 10th IIFA, wouldnt they wanna make it exxtra special and all? Then how come no one is attending or performing this year?! So far they only have like 2 or 3 performers (not counting Shanks and Kareena).

Somebody on the Pri forum said that Pri told a member to watch IIFA! Now, why would she ask her fans to watch IIFA if she wasnt supposed to perform in the first place? :S Weird...

Twitter is kind of a combination of social networking and blogging of posts of 140 characters or less. Some people use it to detail their every decision/movement. I like to go there to check out alot of links from writers and musicians.

If this is his real account, I am thrilled, Riya. The reason I pose that as a question is that there are alot of fake accounts for people like Tina Fey that got really popular.

Shahid's been keeping a low-profile on Twitter but seems to be doing relatively all right when it comes to answering his fans and giving out movie information. He hasn't developed a Twitter-personality per se but at least he's friendly and accessible, which is a good place to be.

Well maybe they're trying to keep who's performing at IIFA a secret to make it more special and so had fake articles come out the past few days. It was weird how one by one in like a few days everyone was dropping out. I seriously hope this is true ^ Riya u may have made my day!! :D

chandni, i hope you are right.... becuz i wanna see some good performances... and wouldn't it be perfect to showcase their movies now at IIFA since the strike is over... 😕

I know it would be perfect and like Riya said, it's the whole 10 years anniversary so they must be having special performances and what not. I so hoppe its true i guess in a few days we'll find out. ^
