Sonam Kapoor features in Hollywood magazine

She was recently in news for walking the ramp at Cannes, one of the biggest moments in the history of Hollywood. Though there were some controversies involving her and another Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, but that is another matter and shows the increasing professional competency of the lanky girl.

Sonam Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with not so great film Sawariya. Notwithstanding the fact that the film was not received very warmly at the box office, she received good words for her acting skills.

The Hollywood Reporter has featured the beautiful actress from India as among the emerging great actors in Asian entertainment sector.

24 year old Sonam is elated by her inclusion in the top Hollywood magazine. In a statement Sonam says, "Yes, it is pleasing to be recognized by Hollywood so early in my career, but my success is due to the enormous faith that the Indian film industry has placed in me and the great love that I have been lucky to get from my audiences".

The article about "the next generation of leaders in the rapidly evolving Asian entertainment sector" prominently features Sonam and the actress has also been presented with a certificate signed by Eric Mika, the publisher of Hollywood Reporter.

She went on to add, "My heart is in India, and the films we make here can stand comparison with those made anywhere in the world, including Hollywood".
