Part 1
Kripa Sharma rolled over in bed as she felt the brightness of the sun ray's shining through her window. Groaning, she opened her eyes sleepily and blinked several times, trying to get a clear picture of the time on her digital alarm clock. 6:00 am.
'It is way too early to be up,' she thought as she rolled over once again and attempted to fall back asleep. After several minutes of tossing around, she finally gave up and slowly got out of bed.
'Mom and dad won't be up for at least another two hours,' she concluded as she walked over to her dresser. 'So, that leaves plenty of time for a shower,' she thought. She grabbed a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and headed into her bathroom, shutting the door behind her.
After her shower, Kripa felt refreshed and partly awake. She was still in the in-between stages of asleep and awake, but by the time she had finished breakfast she would be fully awake. She quickly got dressed and dried her hair, running her fingers through the smooth locks. She never was much of a make-up person and that still hadn't changed. The most she put on in the morning was lip gloss.
She sighed heavily as she observed her reflection in the mirror.
'I wonder what people will think when I go back to school this year. It's my junior year and I want to have at least a little fun,' she thought as she viewed her shoulder length straight brown hair. She smiled as she remembered that she would be seeing Prithvi soon. After all, they had been dating since the beginning of last year. She smiled as she thought back to that day.
FLASHBACK
Kripa glanced up over her large pile of books at the sound of someone calling her name. She smiled as she saw it was Prithvi.
"Hey, Krips," he said
"Hello, Prithvi. How are you?" she asked. He fidgeted nervously as he thought of a response.
"Um… fine… just fine," he said, his voice slightly squeaky. Kripa worked hard to conceal a laugh.
"Are you sure?" she asked. He nodded. She shook her head. Boys were so strange sometimes. "Is there something you needed?" she asked. Prithvi hesitated for a moment, trying to regain his courage.
"Yes, actually. I wanted to ask you something," he told her. She looked at him curiously.
"Oh. What?" she asked intrigued. Prithvi cleared his throat.
"Well, I was wondering if you liked anyone," he said so softly that Kripa had to strain to hear it.
"Umm… yes, I do," she replied. She was slightly uncomfortable with this topic. She was interested to see where it was going though. Prithvi looked hopeful for a minute, but then reverted back to nervousness.
"Well, is it me?" he asked. Kripa opened her mouth to respond but shut it quickly. She really didn't want to answer that question. "Because… I really like you," he added. Kripa stared at him, shocked.
"You… you do?" she asked. He nodded. Kripa smiled.
"I like you too, Prithvi," she told him. It took Prithvi to realize what she had just said. He beamed at her.
"Really?" he asked his voice excited.
"Yes, really," she replied.
"That's great!" he said. Kripa laughed.
"Yes, I suppose it is," she agreed.
"Well… I was wondering… if, y' know, you wanted to be my girlfriend?" he asked. Kripa nodded.
"Of course, Prithvi. I can't think of anyone I'd rather be with than you," she said.
"That's awesome! I'll have to catch up with you later. I have to tell Josh the good news!" he exclaimed and ran out of the room, grinning like a fool. Kripa just shook her head and smiled to herself.
END FLASHBACK
'Prithvi will certainly be surprised,' she thought.
ok this is like a defualt Part. THis is just to give you an idea of how Prithvi and Kripa got together. I am not in the mood to actually get into the story today. I know it is not very long, but I hope you like it! Tell me by commenting!!😃
