Shubhangi Atre, who used to star in the now-defunct Kasturi (Star Plus), is back in action with her next project; and this time, it's on the big screen. Shubhangi will be seen in the kid's movie Little Master.
Shubhangi tells us about her Bollywood project, saying, "Little Master is directed by Ravi Bhatia. Although I can't reveal much, I can say that it is a very fun kids' movie. I'll be seen interacting with the children and it is hilarious."
She says the movie bears resemblance to the Hollywood blockbuster Home Alone, adding, "As far as I've read the script, I think it is quite similar to Home Alone. Although, I haven't ever watched the movie at one stretch, I've decided now to watch it for sure."
However, Shubhangi refuses to reveal much about her character, saying, "All I can tell you is that I am playing a working woman called Pallavi, who is very ambitious and determined. At the same time, she is a mother and being a mother, she is protective of her child. Since I am a mother in real life, the experience will help me play this character."
Atre says she wanted her two-year-old daughter Ashi also cast in the movie but Ashi would have none of it. She adds, "I wish she could star in it but she's camera phobic. She's always doing masti, all the time, but once the camera is on, she doesn't react only!"
The actress took up the offer because of the film's great script. "I was approached last week and the script was so interesting that I just couldn't say 'no'. It has very interesting and beautiful scenes; there are 2-3 songs too which are very nice. Since it's a kid's movie, Ashi has already decided that she will come with me to the sets everyday."
Shooting for Little Master will begin next week.
