wow..wat a splendid performance..as always by Sanaya!! 👏👏👏 but then this time, I wud say that Gunjan overpowered everyone at Excel.. gunjan, the person , the character!!
jus wen I was abt to ask myself yet again..why is she tolerating everything that sam does to her..wen sam asked my question to her.. "tum har baar mujhe kaise maaf kar sakti ho? " and she had a simple answer to her rescue " jab maine tumse pyaar kiya..toh badle mein yeh kabhi nahin chaha ki tum bhi mujhse utna hi pyaar karo.." and jus wen I am abt to think that its too cliche a dialogue.. she surprised me positively wen sam again asks for her forgiveness.. the way she uttered the words.. "galti..? maafi..?" and the tone of it was like it was the most ridiculous thing in the world to her.. those scenes in the flashback might seem random and out of the blue..but to me prob..hey were very poignan.. she remembered those times wen sam had stood by unconditionally for her.. the rangoli depicted the times wen he had stood by her during ta;end parade...the V-day ball scene wen he had helped her win the RJ hunt by being her secret friend.. and the rose day scene wen he'd told her how much she means to her.. and then she realised, he doesn't need to ask for her forgiveness, not for being there for her?!
"maafi toh mujhe maangni chahiye.." and it was not janhavi talking to rahul, but gunjan talking to samrat.. coz rahul may hav been a jerk to janhavi..but sam was never to gunjan! ( not until sheena entered his life neway! ) " jab jab tumne meri taraf dekha..mujhe laga ki tumhari aankhen sirf mujhe dhoondh rahi thi..jab jab tum mujhe dekh kar muskuraye..mujhe laga ki tumhari muskurahat sirf mere liye thi.. jab jab tumne mera naam pukara, mujhe laga ki woh naam sirf tumhare liye bana tha! yeh meri galti thi..sirf meri.. " and as I watched on, wid tears in my eyes..I realised how true it was! we may claim to say its nobody's fault in the begininning..but now, I realised somewhere deep down, it was both of their fault.. equally! her, for wat she jus mentioned..and him, for not understanding that he loves his best friend and vice versa! and wen I found myself looking at sam from her eyes..I realised that he isnt all that bad at all.. she makes him look an angel as well..!! and thats the power of her character...! wen he hugged her back, she didnt..coz she knew that for him, he was jus hugging his best friend..but for her, he had become somthing more than that..in a way, she thought she wud be cheating him.. and she controlled herself, though m sure all she wanted to do right then was hug him back tightly!
and wen the scene got oevr, I was totally expecting her to crying her heart out in one classroom..wen surprised me positively, yet again! she was crying.. but then a shadow of smile came onto her face.. "man halka lag raha hain na gunjan? yehi toh tum chahti thi.. ki use kabhi pata na chale.. " she said wat she wanted to..widout letting him kno.. "aur tum tooti bhi nahin.." and I think thats the biggest feat achieved by her! 👏 she finally stopped being sandwiched b/w whether o tell him or not..and how to react wen sheena is around.. she made a decision yest.. and I believe the scene is one significant steps towards moving the SaJan story ahead.. coz she finally accepted that she has to stay away from SS..and felt relieved that she finally told him abt her feelings..yet. she handled it all in such a dignified manner.. and wid such maturity that I was left in awe!!
in a way..m glad that sam didnt kno abt her feelings yet.. he would hav never understood her.. and ofcourse wen he gave that smile after hugging her, I wanted to whck him on the head!! bu thats anoher story altogether!!
if gunjan bhushan existed in reality..all I wud do is go give her a hug and tell her.. "hats off to the mere existence of a person like u!! " 👏👏
