They are all calm (for once) and happy as they are walking. They have just come from a rehersal and may have just shared a romantic moment or one between friends as they are content. They turn and a basketball hits Nupurs head. Meanwhile, Mayank is dragged away by a group of his female fans or something to 'get advice on studies'
N: Huh…dekho kaise usko chipak rahe hai…(ball hits head) Samrat! Maine kitni baar tumhe warn kiya hai… (she turns around and sees that it is not him but instead is someone else (could be ranvijay but the point is that he isn't a good main character)).
N: (walking over to him) oye tum apne aap ko samajhte kya ho? Hero banne ki koshish se pehle zara apne aap ko zero se zyaada to banaa lo! Tumne galat jage par apna jalwa dikhaya hai kyunki tumne abhi tak mera jalwa dekha nahin hai. Ab sikhaati hun tumhe (rolls up her sleeves (if she has sleeves) as she comes face to face with him)
Person: Zara soch samhajh ke baat karna samjhi? Varna maine agar kuch kiya to tum to tumhaare maa ke paas rote hue jaa chuki hogi. Tum jaise ladkiyan maine bohot dekhen hain. Aate hain bohot gau ki gori banke par andar se…(tutting). Pata nahin kya kya sikhate hai inki maayein inko?
Mayank had come halfway through what he was saying that thinking that she must be jealous as he saw her face on the way but when he comes he hears this and looks furious at how anybody could talk like that to Nupur
Nupur: (first she was more playful angry but now you can see that she is furious) Arre o hero! Ab tum tumhari had par kar rahe ho! Meri maa ke baare mein tumne kuch bhi kaha to naa.
Mayank has now come to be standing behind her but by the time he gets there she:
Person: (opening their mouth to speak but she pretty much launches at him before he could say anything)
Mayank: Nupur tum kar kya rahi ho? (dragging her away from there in the nick of time)
Nupur: iski akal thikane par lagaa rahi hu…choodo mijhe (protesting but he drags her away and into some private place (you choose (I was remembering the fire escape from dmg) but it could be anywhere that nobody is except for the two of them))
He has her hand tightly in his grip but lets go when she is face to face with him.
Mayank: (in a soft tone) Tum theek to ho naa?
Nupur nods and it is evident that she wants to cry but is fighting the tears.
Mayank: ussne jo bhi kaha tumhare maa ke baare main (by now she has launched herself at him to give him a hug (like the jungle scene when she finds that he isn't missing))
She is letting out silent tears so that he does not find out as she cannot fight them any longer. Unlike the jungle scene, he hugs her back to comfort her this time after overcoming the initial shock.
The whole day Mayank is thinking about Nupur being sad and she is being very reserved to everybody unlike her usual self.
At Home:
Mayank is upset about Nupur being upset and it comes across to his mom.
When he looks at the shirt he wore, the can see the tear stains on the back and remembered Nupur crying. His mother sees this and:
(Okay I am finding it hard to write this part (the person who writes these Mayank n mom convos is brilliant! But just imagine that she asks him what does he do when he is upset and indirectly or directly gives him the idea to do the same to Nupur. He goes to sleep happy and dreaming of Nupur)
The next day:
Mayank asks Nupur is she wants to go somewhere else for a rehersal today for a change of mood and atmosphere and she eventually agrees after a lot of leg pulling.
(optional: She asks him where to go and he tells her that it is a surprise and puts a blindfold on her as they get into mayanks normal mode of transport (whatever that might be))
They get there (he takes the blindfold off of her) and noticing that her eyes widen with childish delight and then she falls into thought again, they sit down on the sand looking at the waves.
Mayank: Tumhe pata hai ki yeh beach mujhe itni pasand kyu hai? Kyunki meri ma (or dad- depending on what would suit better) mujhe bachpan mein yahan laati thi mujhe kabhi bhi sochne ke liye waqt chahiye hota tab.
Nupur: Maayein hoti hi aisi (or maa baap if Mayank talked about his dad and not his mother). Bin kahein sab kuch samajh jaati hain.
Mayank: Nupur tumhari maa…
Nupur: Meri maa ab is duniya main nahin hai. (silence) Mujhse zyaada to Gunjan ko uski kammi mehsoos hoti hai. Usko to yad hai ki nahin mujhe pata nahin kyunki who chotti thi par who bilkul meri maa par gayi hai. (sounds like she is choking on tears saying the next part) Sabka bhala hi chahti thi.
Mayank: Bhagwaan sirf unko leta hai jinko who sabse zyaada pyaar karta hai.
They are both silent as they look out onto the sea, watching the tide as it lapped their feet.
Mayank: High-speed bolne ki gaadi band kyun hogi?
She smiles half-heartedly in response then suddenly Mayank reaches forward and splashes Nupur with the water getting a squeal in response this time.
She reaches forward too and splashes him. In no time they are having a mega water fight and it looks as if they have both put everything behind them and are having the time of their lives.
Nupur: By God Mayank! Tum bhi na kabhi kabhi akdoo se sidha bacche jaise ban jaate ho.
Mayank: Kyun beach accha nahin laga kya?
Nupur: Nahin accha nahin laga. Mayank mujhe bohot, bohot, bohot accha laga. Pata hai, mai chahti hun ki mera rajkumar bhi mujhe yahan leke aaye!
Mayank is left thinking whether that could be him with one of his classic smiles…
