Hussain K K: He's been able to explore the many facets of a television
personality, from acting to anchoring. He's one of the few TV actors who
have grown beyond the character to become a known personality.
Sonu Nigam: He is already making waves with Indian Idol. Now he will
consolidate his position as mentor and guide to the participants, and
through them, the audience.
Apurva Agnihotri: His character of Armaan Sir has received varied
reactions. But as he beomes involved with Jassi, people will adore him for
being a nice man who values goodness over good looks.
* Rakshanda Khan's choice
Apurva Agnihotri: He has the determination and the drive to make it. His
good looks add to his charisma.
Hiten Tejwani: There is something very nice about him. Positive vibes
come across the small screen whenever he is in a scene.
Amit Sarin: He plays Sahil in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. His
concentration and dedication to his work is amazing.
* Tanaaz Currim's choice
Samir Soni: He is one of the most under-utilised actors we have. He has
lot of potential and can really make it big.
Rajeev Khandelwal: He comes across as a very sincere artiste. His looks
and personality appeal to women of all ages.
Karan Johar: He took the world by surprise with the way he anchors his
show. He can combine common sense and sarcasm with an uncanny ease.
* Ashish Kaul's choice
Varun Badola: He is a versatile actor. Not one to play it safe, Varun adds
zing to any role he portrays.
Akashdeep Sehgal: He has brought a new dimension to meanness. And he
is able to carry it off well.
Aman Verma: He's here to stay. He hosts a show with elan and acts well
too. He will do well because of his versatility.

Education: Graduate
His background: The son of the late film writer Gyandev Agnihotri, Apurva
was born and brought up in Kanpur. In 1986, he shifted to Mumbai along
with the rest of his family.
The big break: He began training as a pilot, but his family objected, so he
took acting classes instead. That was when he was introduced to Subhash
Ghai, who at that time was looking for a lead man for Pardes. "Subhashji
warned me that only if I got through the screen test would I be cast
opposite Mahima. I was glad that I managed."
The slump: In spite of Shah Rukh Khan, Pardes wasn't exactly a
blockbuster. Nor did the other films Apurva had signed make any impact
on the audience.
The bigger break: Meanwhile, he received a phone call from the
producers of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and landed the role of Armaan Sir,
Jassi's mean, calculating boss. Apurva doesn't make the character look
bad. "I play a real-life character who has shades of grey which I believe
every human being has because none of us are either too good or too
bad."
