We are Jai fans but we will acknowledge his weak points when we need to. Jai did fall but did he let it affect his performance? Nope, he kept going😳Same with mangesh, despite being my favourite, that fall from the top was hideous but he still carried on with a broken arm👏

If salman's expressions fell but he picked up later then we would applaud him but he didn't

Hey Drbabu, thanks for sharing your knowledge but I don't think you read Andy's post properly. She is not predicting the dancers' future or anything...she's not saying whether or not they will make it big or whatever...she's just commenting on Salman's mithunda performance.

It is not up to you or me to predict how far these guys (and girl) are going to go. They are just doing their best to win a competion...it's really unfair of us to judge them and predict their future.

All Andy's saying is that Salman's expressions were not up to the mark during his mithunda imitation performance. And even I felt that his performance was lacking and dull. He was not enjoying himself fully. Dance is not just about technical movements, you have to get accross an emotion, a feeling as well as entertain the audience which unfortunately Salman failed to do.

We're not saying he's not a good dancer! He's awesome at certain forms of dance, but he lacks expression for fun filled/ bollywood style dancing. Every dancer has their weakness and this is his. Doesn't make him a bad dancer or anything, just means he needs more practice in this area. And it's not his fault he hasn't had any practice in bollywood dancing previously.

So ya this post has nothing to do with whether or not these dancers will make it in the west or not but just on Salman's one performance.

I hope that's more clear. Thanks anyways for the knowledge. 😊

I think Salman does any dance number not only well but with terrific grace and ease. I grew up in the States and have seen many Western dance great dancers and I can easily compare Salman with the top dancers in the West - most of the DID performances are a mishmash of Western dance (esp when the men do their numbers) and while Jai and Siddesh are good dancers - they could never survive in the West while Salman and Alisha (and some of the contestants like Mayuresh, Bhavna, and Mandakini, Mangesh, Paulson) can compete at a global level.

Jai has a very "desi" dance presence and his body looks unfortunately very third world and Siddesh dances very much like his guru ma - who is very third rate and could not dance the most simplest number on Broadway or whatever..Bollywood dancers are still considered cheap and flimsy in the West because they plagiarize Western styles very poorly while Indian classical dance remains unparalleled and should be what remains strong in all the DID numbers.

Just an opinion - from an ex-student of the performing arts in New York...dont mean to be negative...but Salman rocks!

amm, who's talking about going global? 😕 it's Dance INDIA Dance...and for ur kind info, the winner will get a chance to perform in a BOLLYWOOD movie...and the contestants want to make their mark in BOLLYWOOD, so they need to know bollywood dance as well. I don't think so! and Can he do a classical dance like Siddhesh has done (Kathakali, kathak, and the ai pappi one)....the point is Salman may be good in western dance forms, but he falls a little behind in Indian dance forms, therefore, his versitality is in question...and at the end of the day DID is an Indian show, all the contestants in there are Indian, and all the contestants want to be successful in India, in Indian film industry, so I don't know y u r comparing them to Western culture 😕 and just bcz of people like u, he might as well win According to me, he's good enough to be in top4, but not good enough to be the winner!
