In my opinion, this track best suits the message that needs to be portrayed as such cases are very common in rural areas where awareness regarding premarital unprotected sex, and precautions like birth control pills, condoms etc have not yet evolved and hence, young girls remain ignorant of a variety of factors associated with unprotected sex. This portrayal is very essential to address this issue sensitively and if Shyam is shown accepting Sugna as his wife later on alongwith her child, then it sends a positive message across that one small mistake need not mean a life sentence for a young innocent girl who gave in to her curiousity and love for her husband. It would instead show that there's nothing wrong in accepting such a person, and still have a healthy relationship.
That in itself would bring the viewers' attention to the fact that if Sugna had not been married at an early age, then she would probably not have allowed herself to be susceptible to her lover's wishes who was also her husband. In her mind, the thought must have been there that "we are already going to be married and plus, he's my husband, so this should not be considered as wrong, and is only an expression of our love together."
Bhairav is right to blame himself for this because he got his daughter married at such a young age.
If any need regarding the positive aspects of education for widows need to be shown, or anything else, they have Phuli for that, who most obviously cannot be expected to be used for the message regarding premarital sex. She was shown getting educated, getting saved from a marriage to an older man, and the myth that widows are unpure and abshaguni has also been broken through her. It is not necessary to show Sugna doing the same.
She can instead be shown fallin in love with Shyam cuz of his goodness and noble nature, where he accepts her even with someone else's child, and shelters her. That would be much more apt considering that its just been a few months since Pratap died and she was madly in love with him. A general love story with Shyam would not have been very appropriate in this case.
Premarital Unprotected Sex is a very important subject which needs to be brought out in the open, especially in the rural areas.
And in my opinion, the creatives have the right idea regarding this.
