| It is that time of the year when achievers from 2005 will be appreciated at various award shows. We list the winners nobody would felicitate The Tu Tu Main Main Award goes hands down to Ekta Kapoor for either fighting (Natassha now Anita from Kkavyanjali), sacking (Anuj Saxena, Rajeev Khandelwal) or putting on leash (Ronit Roy) lead actors from her top serials. While Rajeev Khandelwal after a lot of 'will he won't he quit Kahin To Hoga' stories in the media, walked out of the show as Ekta swore never again to work with him, Anuj Saxena was shown the door much before the completion of Kkusum, on charges of noncooperation, bad mouthing the serial and money related problems. Ekta's best friend Anita, in spite of being cast in Ekta's forgettable film Koi Aap Sa, too faced adverse music from the moody producer over work schedules, proving no tie is above the Ekta fire. The Mother India Award goes to Smriti 'Tulsi' Iraani for shooting her erring son, Ansh Gujral, played with gay abandon by Akashdeep Saigal in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi. She also wins the Best Martyr/ Fighter Award for coming up trumps after every heart-wrenching twist the writers of Kyunki… make her go through and in the bargain bagging the Best Actress Award for the fifth consecutive year at the 2005 Indian Television Academy awards. The Miss Patient Award goes to Mona Singh aka Jassi for grinning and bearing the rather long makeover even as couch potatoes diligently waited week after week for the 'real' face to surface. Now the wait's extended to finding a date for the eventual shaadi. The Mr Loyalty Be Damned Award goes to Rajeev Khandelwal for sticking to his guns (albeit after a lot of hemming and hawing) before opting out of Balaji's Kahin To Hoga. The Mr Loyalty Till TRPs Do Us Part Award goes to Ronit Roy for agonising over his loyalty towards his three prime time daily soaps — Balaji's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi and Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Sarrkkar. Roy solved the gutthi by opting for "Shobhaji and Ekta Kapoor." The Survivor At All Costs Award goes to Shekhar Suman for yet another successful year on the idiot box. He was like salt, added to remove blandness but not necessarily to improve flavour . In-out Actor of the Year Award goes to Sameer Soni for his three time re-entry in Jassi...this year. He eventually had an abrupt exit. He eventually had an abrupt exit. ok the article is kinda contradictory...first it says rajeev was sacked then later on it says tht he walked out..........watever, I liked the title rajeev got...Loyalty be damed...hehe...it shws the he'll never be a chamcha 2 any1.....dunno y I felt the article also made a shot at ronit roy 4 quitting sarkar...somehow I felt they were trying 2 shw tht rajeev has more spine thn ronit (or any of the others!)...watver....WAY 2 GO RAJEEV! |
