A heady brew of beauty, brains, urban contemporariness and traditional values, Kareena's public image belies her inner true self. Not that she gives a damn, anyways. Here is one spectacularly dazzling beauty who was born into Bollywood royalty and wears her crown with natural ease. A girl who, amid all the glitz and glam, hype and blitz, can tell the real deal from reel fl uff. Read on as we get to know the person behind the persona. We promise you she will, she will rock you too...
What with all this jet-setting and stress...
Don't you get tired of this busy schedule? I love the excitement and the stress. It's been
like this throughout my career but I love it that way.
So, if it weren't for films, what would you be most comfortable in and be seen wearing
throughout the day?
Most of the times it would be like, really casual clothes. Something that I really like, you know,
like track pants and t-shirts. Ya, most of the times, its PJs or something that I would be in at home. But for going out for an evening or a night, I try and dress up. Then, its like short
dresses for me.
Wow! Sitting around a fireplace with friends, lounge around in track pants and tees... That's not the picture of Kareena anyone would conjure going by your public image! Most would assume you would be one of those high maintenance types.
Actually, you know, not many people know the real Kareena. Honestly. People who really
know me will tell you that actually I am a very very conventional, traditional girl. I am very
private, very conservative. That's the way I am. But then, I believe that people should know me through my fi lms. And that's about it. I have a western image because of the roles that I have chosen and the roles that I do. But, that's for the screen. There are different sides to me altogether. What you see on the screen is absolutely different from the girl I am in real life. I am a very simple person. When people see me in my real life, they freeze. People are literally dazed and shocked because I am as normal as a college girl will be. I am in my track suit and my chappals, going shopping for groceries. I like to pick up my own grocery and I don't send anyone to do it for me. But nobody knows that because they don't me. And I have not really bothered to go out of my way and change that image. For me, the people who know who I really am are the only ones that matter.
