Tough negotiator Aamir turns down film with Farhan

Aamir Khan was in talks for a film to be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani . But the negotiations have bore no fruit.

Aamir and Farhan have come far since they first worked together in Dil Chahta Hai to Aamir's special cameo in Zoya Akhtar's film Luck By Chance , which was produced by Farhan. The duo was slated to work together again and was in talks for a project that will be directed by Reema Kagti . However, nothing has come out of the talks.

It's being reported that Farhan's partner Ritesh Sidhwani met Aamir on the sets of 3 Idiots and discussed the project. But Aamir demanded a whopping acting fee and a share in the film's profits. The actor's demand put off Ritesh who walked off and has now decided to make the film with another superstar.


Sidhwani has confirmed that the project with Aamir is not happening because the actor had certain "demands" which were "not acceptable" to him and Farhan. Sidhwani refuses to elaborate what exactly were Aamir's demands.

With Aamir now out of the project, the producer duo are looking forward to sign another big star, who, reportedly, could be none other than Shahrukh Khan .

Sidhwani refuses to confirm or deny the reports that SRK has been approached for the part which Aamir was to play.

Meanwhile, Aamir has stated that he declined the film because he did not like its script.

I don't think it's Amir's loss or Farhan's loss as both are brilliant! Amir will find a better film to do and Farhan will find a suitable actor for his film which hopefully will do well. All's good.

True. They're good friends and I'm sure they'll both find what they're looking for. 😉

I would have loved to see Aamir in this film, but I am not surprised by his demands either. Well, I think whoever decides to do this project as a male lead, it will be a good move for them.

Amir usually does make those sort of demands, it's not unheard of.... even Akshay does that too...
