Rubina Ali On-Screen with Nicole Kidman
Rubina Ali's, one of the young stars of Oscar Best Picture winner Slumdog Millionaire, portfolio continues to increase with her latest on-screen performance in a Schweppes commercial with Nicole Kidman and Arjun Rampal. Shot in France by Shekhar Kapur and produced by Ridley Scott. The very expensive one-minute commercial sees a beautiful Nicole dancing in a sumptuous Bollywood setting, apparently caring for Rubina before teasing Arjun and then drinking some Schweppes lemonade.
However, for the father of the young Slumdog star, it's another proud moment. "We are very proud of her and hope she continues to become a big star," he says. Recently, a trust was established – the Jai Ho Trust – to support Rubina and the other young stars of Slumdog Millionaire during their childhood by providing accommodation, education and a regular income.
During his recent visit to India, 300 actor Gerard Butler treated all the young stars of Slumdog to a day out at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. He played with Rubina and all the others whom he'd first met at the Oscar ceremony in February. Priyanka Chopra was also present.
