![]() Mayank confesses that he has unleashed his creative side in this book. "The book is neither a novel nor an anthology of poems. It's prose and poetry put together. I didn't want to write a novel the first time," adds Mayank. It is to complete this book that Mayank took a sabbatical from Dil Mil Gaye earlier this year. "I had been toying with the book for a long time but I actually finished writing it in two months. My role in Dil Mil Gaye was meant to be a four-month assignment. But since the viewers loved the character, Dr Rahul stuck on," he says. Mayank has done his masters in English writing and creative Performance, but he does television only to earn a living.
