A TRIBUTE: She Came, She Danced, She Conquered.

I haven't seen Chak De India till this day and I knew nothing of Shilpa Shukla before I saw her on JDJ3. But she won me over well and truly by the time of her untimely exit. I went in watching the show, not even sure if I wanted to bother supporting anyone and I think that really helped me because I looked at the dances and I'd like to believe I saw them impartially, apart from the obvious, Gauhar and Hard Kaur...the one person that stood out for me was Shilpa.

If you didn't listen close enough, you miss her and what she had said. She was shy and quite at first and everyone mistook it for seriousness but I'm glad before she left, everyone got to see a little of her fun, playful side too.

Nishant deserves a big up too👏...because he was AWESOME!!! He was the one choreographer that utilities his partner's abilities, she's an actress and she can play characters. I thought it was a smart move and they used it to their advantage because Shilpa's expressions were unmatchable. I admire his choreographer also...I looked forward to their performance every week.

Shilpa Said, "Khabhie bhi hamari performance dekh ke...thoda bhi pyaar aaye hum pe...tou bas ek message kar de...aur...samandar mein ek drop dale...aur hamare sapne sach hoonge usse"

Vote for her if she deserved it. That's what I admired about her...

And boy was it...when I was watching, I thought...hum...this is interesting; they've managed to make it work and then came the judges onslaught...was NOT expecting that Lol...but I guess you either loved it or hated it...

Zinda Hoon Main

I don't need o say much about this performance...it spoke for itself. Shilpa and Nishant proved themselves worthy and they totally deserved their 30.

Hip-Hop

Yikes...I did not love this one though...I must admit it...was terribly disappointed but chalta hain yaar...she picked herself up and came back even stronger and better.

Jugal Bandi...

Nishant as Charlie Chaplin and Shilpa as the Chamiya... I doubt there was a person that didn't enjoy it...it's one of my favourites this season and from Shilpa also.

Props: The Mine

Nishant was undoubtedly one of the best choreographers this season, he dared to do something different nearly every time, sometimes it paid off and other times it didn't. But the mime act was beautiful!!!! Undeniably creative and brilliantly performed by the both of them. I especially love the ending of that one!

Shakalaka Baby: Cats

Uff...I dread to think of the costumes, but the dance...I thought was brilliant... the act in particular I liked...the beginning and the end was genius. I loved her performance of the same in the dance off was much more refined and feline like and more impactful.

Daiya re Daiya re

It's a real, real shame...I thought she'd go out fighting in the dance off but you never know until you're in that position, you win some, you lose some. BUT I absolutely abhorred Saroj(ji)'s comment when she said, "aisi composition dekhe dil toot jaata hain" not because it was made towards Nishant but because I truly felt it wasn't bad...

The first thing Shilpa said was "Oh man..."when she got her last marks, because she was smart and she knew she was gonna go...votes were never her thing...it was mostly based on performance for her and in a way...even thought she went before her time...I'm glad because she went out fairly. She said at her last performance, "Phir bhi hame tab hi vote kijeye agar hamari performance uss layak thi..." which endeared me to her even more.

As Shilpa put it...they were jumpin' jacks bees se tees, tees se bees...but what I enjoyed most about them is their journey...seeing different facets of Shilpa's personality, her relationship evolve with Nishant and of course, her growing as a dancer...into one that I felt definitely deserved to be in the top three. And even though I know you're not reading lol...I wanna say...you've deff made a new fan in me.

I love shilpa. she was good and she deserved to be on the show so far. Unfortunately she blanked out and her exit was graceful. everyone was crying for her showed that she was loved by all. Always loved her acting now i LIke her dance. Best of luck for her and NIshanth

totally hatke style! will miss her. especially next week with the circus theme. thats totally her style.

Shilpa is a great dancer, but Nishant is an amazing amazing , super amazing choreographer .. Love them both .. Yo !

I liked her alot too. Actually, I have been a big fan of her work since Khamosh Paani (that came out several years ago). You should probably see that if you haven't already. It is a great movie, and her determination and hard work won me over as well.
