Hi...😊 Nice to read your views... Well, I am not against the protagonist being grey in general... But its the kind of grey shade that you portray that matters... If the "hero" were to loot a bank to help the poor - its one thing for example... But to get intimate with your best friend's sis - abhorring... I totally condemn it and cannot get myself to see anything good in it - no matter if the girl initiated it or whatever... By the end of the book I started despising the character and feel that he deserved every bit of hatred that his friend showed towards him...

I found the book great for the simple reason that the story was down to earth and normal . The simplicity of the male character and the narration of his thoughts appealed to me . In my opinion the book is worth reading .👍🏼

@smallwonder- Thank you for this review. I must admit, I read the first book of his - Five point someone and thought it was okay , but the second one abt one night at a call center, was I thought a disaster mistake of mine. I just coulnt relate to it all.

And yes, use of slang when overdone does more damage than expected.

I've read some books where a fleeting use of slang , kinda brings out the possible intensity of the situation , for the lack of a better word or to rbing out the stark contrast in the view s or attitudes of characters themself, but I dare Chetan's usage of the word goes a bit well on the flip syde.

And having said all that - Phew! I am certainly NOT reading the book! I jus wouldnt be able to relate to it and its best left at that!

Thanks again!

i personally think five point someone is the best work of chetan bhagat , being a college student u can absolutely relate to it ,if u hav already read FPS then this book can be a disappointing, and talking about the lead , i didnt find him that bad , i mean he was nt forcing the girl into anything ,the girl was more stupidas well as irritating than him .and i agree wid u the part about ali was the best part of the book and u surely love the kid.
