Guys,

I just read an article saying Hum Ladkiyan will go off air.
This is so so sad.
I like this show a lot and I know there are many others who feel the same way.
I wonder on what basis Sony just keeps tossing good shows. Do they even know we are there to watch its shows?

Here is the article ( the website is https://www.tellychakkar.com/y2k9/apr/30apr/news_ek_safar.php)

Hum Ladkiyan, Ek Safar Aisa.. to go off air

It's now less than a month before viewers will get to see a revamped Sony. However, for that to happen some of the existing shows have to bid adieu to Sony. After Aathvaan Vachan, Sony is now closing doors on two more shows - Hum Ladkiyan and Ek Safar Aisa …Kabhi Socha Na Tha

However, producer Rashmi Sharma (Ek Safar…) rubbished this news. "No, our show isn't going off air. Though the channel is being revamped to attract viewership but that doesn't mean they are shutting down our show. On the contrary, it is keen to have a new time slot for our show. Apart from this, I have nothing else to say," said Sharma.

Rinku Ghosh, who plays Maya Rathore, too was taken aback by this news. "Well, I don't know about this and I don't wish to comment. The channel is getting revamped so, let's hope that there is a place for us also."

However, a reliable source informs, "The story (Ek Safar....) is going nowhere. Initially everyone thought that the show would do well but unfortunately things didn't pan out as expected. The channel has decided to replace it with a new show from 25 May."

Meanwhile, an actor from Hum Ladkiyan confirmed to us that the show was indeed going off air. "Yes, it is true that Hum Ladkiyan is going off air. I'm surprised by this decision as our show wasn't doing that bad. We're told that the show will wind up on 15 May," said the actor.

We tried contacting Sony creative head (fiction) Sanjay Upadhyay and even sent him a text but there was no response.

Yes, that is true. They have only few interesting shows. Hum ladkiyaan should have stayed.

I heard they are revamping the channel so it might mean new shows and I hear there is one called Bhaskar Bharti which has Aamir Ali, Eijaz Khan in the lead....so I dont know how successful they will go with revamping but

Hum ladkiyan should have continue.....................

Surely it was the only show that most people liked, it should have been continued. For us foreigners, the programme was like our daily routine. We pay so much money to own up a sky channel, and I thought sony entertainment provided some good series. It was indeed a good show , which didn't have the same concept as Ekta Kapoor's serials. I just wish they dont air Ekta Kapoor's stupid and reapeated stories again and again

Yes you are right jassie_17, we should sign a petition but I wonder if there will be people like us who would be willing to sign plus I am not sure whether Sony would hear our plea.

I still am not believing this because we only heard this now and only from one source so someone should confirm this news first.
