Bachchans head to Goa for New Year

After a trip to Tirupati, the Bachchan family — Amitabh and Jaya, along with daughter Shweta and her two kids — is now heading to Goa, for the New Year.

This is a much-deserved break for the actor; since he has been advised lots of R & R , the family decided that Goa was the best destination.

Time with the family

Revealed a friend of the family, "This was not planned; it was decided on the spur of the moment, and the doctors gave Amitabh the green signal. He won't be taxing himself too much. He just wanted to spend some quiet time with his family, away from Mumbai."

Abhishek Bachchan, who is shooting for Umrao Jaan in Jaipur, will fly directly to Goa and join the family. The Bachchans will return to Mumbai on January 2, 2006.
