Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is on top in the industry as far as endorsements of well-known brands are concerned. Prahlad Kakkar, an authority in the ad world, has rightly said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is perceived as an ambassador of India, and not just an actress. That's why even well known brands want her to represent their brands. She adds a new dimension to their products. For Aishwarya, who has made her presence felt internationally through English language films like 'Bride and Prejudice', 'Mistress of Spices', 'Provoked' and 'Pink Panther 2', signing films and endorsements has been a very selective affair. You may recall that she declined to endorse L'Oreal's skin whitening cream especially in India, where one's skin color became an issue. She had endorsed its global hair care brand since 2003. Besides, she completed nearly a decade of endorsing Swiss luxury watch brand Longines and international soap Lux. Besides; it was she who had decided to disassociate herself from Nakshatra jewelery. This is a myth that Katrina Kaif had replaced her for endorsing this brand. It's not for nothing that Aishwarya takes home nearly 20.085 million dollars from advertising assignments every year.

Meanwhile Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan celebrated their second wedding anniversary on April 20. They are off to an undisclosed destination to celebrate the D-day. At first Abhi and Ash were to work on this special day for Mani Ratnam's 'Ravan' but Mani's sudden illness gave the couple a chance to enjoy their anniversary! They may be off to Europe to spend some quality time with each other. Though Mani freed the couple to celebrate anniversary, it was the duo's combined decision to work on the special day as they did not want to delay the project anymore and by anyway, they will be together. This is to remind our viewers that last year, the couple had a light anniversary as Abhi was shooting in Miami for 'Dostana' and Ash was busy with her work, but she flew to her hubby to spend time with him.
