Happy Earth Day

Every year on April 22nd Earth Day is celebrated annually with the intension to spread the awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The entire globe celebrates earth day, where different events, crafts and activities are organized by various organisations. If we peep into the history of Earth Day then one earth Day was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969, which is celebrated by United Nations each year on the March Equinox. A second Earth Day, was founded in 1970 by U.S Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach in which is now celebrated across the globe as Earth Day on every 22nd Of April. Over the years Earth Day has become very popular and is celebrated by around 20 million people across the globe with agendas like pollution, population and global warming. Different activities are held to spread the awareness, the most popular being the painting contest. Other activities are crafting elements related to earth. Other activities include cleaning up the local area or some specific area, planting trees, promoting to eat natural or vegetarian food etc. With the view and determination to support Earth Day, Meme is here with an awareness ecard on Earth Day.
