Can Vampires suicide?

Hi everyone 😊
this thought came 2 me when i was reading new moon again...
why did Edward go to the volturi so that they could kill him?
he cud have easily put himself on fire without bothering to tear up his body parts?
or not?
can any one tell me why vampires cant suicide?

I think he wanted a death which is worse than burnt in the fire so he went to the Volturis.

Plus I dont see the need for a vampire as good as the Cullens to commit suicide. They have everything, the eternity stretched infront of them, they can do everything they want to.. why will they ask death for?

But if you were to read about Carlisle's history, you can see that for Vampires to kill themselves is almost impossible.

hmmm.. so vampirescant kill themselves...am not talking abt the cullens...but abt vampires in general...if they desire to die they can just put themselves on fire... cant they?
but am more than glad that edward dident get these horrible thoughts! 😆

Other vampires are not our concern ..we are only concerned about the cullens..to be more precise EDWARDDDDD!!😳😆

Of course, our only concern is EDWARD 😳😆 And also the Cullens, dont ever forget them 😆
Tho you do have a good point that they can just burn themselves in fire. But after watching Twilight (again 😆) you realize that first the vampire like James had to be bitten off or whatever you wanna call that 🤢 And then Alice had to rip his head off and burnt. Basically im just saying that they have to break a vampire into pieces 😆 Its no wonder Carlisle couldnt do it himself o.O
