Written Update - April 18th 2009

Hey guys, I was asked to do the update for the 18th but i was out of town. Sorry for the delay but here it is anyway.

April 18th - Geeta Special Episode.

Episode starts with a performance by all contestants and masters on Billo Rani from Goal

Soumya asks Mithun to remove the "maa" tag from Geeta and Mithun gives her a new name "Queen of Bollywood" and Geeta does a funny thankyou speech.

Before the performance begins they show a video of Farah and Geeta's association. Farah tells how she met Geeta and worked with her and Geeta has also made appearances in most of her movies in songs because Geeta is her lucky charm. Geeta is embarrassed why they show a clip of a song from Kuch Kuch Hota hai where Geeta plays the banjaaran (Tujhe yaad na meri aayi song) and another clip from Main Hoon Na (Gori Gori song) where Geeta is dancing with two chotis (very funny).

Farah says her favorite choreo by Geeta is the first one with Paulson, Sunita and Mandakini "Bahoon ke darmiyan" and the kathakali on "jumma" by Siddesh and Sunita.

Farah says she is very proud to see Geeta grow so much.

Mithun da gives a grand salute to Geeta then tells her that she looked really beautiful in the video where she was slimmer and she should loose a bit of weight as she really pretty. Geeta is blushing and Terrence pulls her leg and Mithun da jokes that someday he'll even ask her out.

Hosts say that today is Geeta's test as well as she had choreographed all jodi performances today.

First is Jay. He was supposed to do a jodi dance with Mangesh but because Mangesh got disqualified, Jay is performing a solo choreographed by Terrence.

Jay dances to a mix of "I am a street dancer" (donno where that's from)

Brilliant and flawless dance
Geeta: This is your forte. This is you.

Remo: You were happy doing this. Some nice stunts (back worm) and caught the beats perfectly.
Terrence: Aap ghus gaye performance mein. Agrees with Geeta.

Mithun da: showed a lot of variance. I want to keep seeing this everytime.

Geeta is asked who she had most fun choreographing and she says Mayuresh and Prince because they are as crazy as her.

Terrence tells Geeta they have a surprise for her but she has to do as they tell her and she has to go on stage. Geeta is apprehensive what they will make her do and Mithun da guarantees that they will not do anything crazy. Geeta is blindfolded and Farah surprises her. Geeta gets emotional and share some jokes with Farah about hitting on Mithun.

They show a video of what the contestants and other masters have to say about Geeta maam. Cute and funny video.

Next performance by Alisha and Khusboo on "Mera Piya Ghar aaya"

Superb performance with lots of dancing.

Mithun da: Stage par do bomb phoot gaye.

Farah: complements Geeta on choosing such a popular song with popular dance moves and doing a choreography that was better than original. She stands up to clap for them. She says some places Alisha was doing the dance steps better but Khusboo rocks the expressions.

Remo: intelligent choreography. They looked like mirror images at many places. You both are dynamites.

Terrence: loved to see you both dance. Good energy. Geeta passed first class. Beautifully performed.

Geeta: You guys have superb chemistry and your friendship showed today.

Next Mayuresh and Prince perform on "Do you want a Partner"

Farah: hilarious act. All masters are doing a fantastic job. DID is the most innovative dance show.

Terrence: It was a Howl-arious act. I laughed a lot. Your characters looked good and it was really really funny.

Remo: I am still laughing, especially looking at Prince as he didn't think Prince could act that much.

Mithun da: I am a great fan of Dharam pa ji. Good performance.

Soumya asks Geeta why she choose this song and them to do this act. Geeta says Mayuresh and Prince were left over after all jodis were formed. And she also wanted to lighten the mood of the show as its become very competitive and stressful since the beginning.

Soumya asks Remo to rate the performance and choreography and Remo gives 4.5/5

Mithun da gives 3/5 and then says her two stars are on the stage and 3+2 = 5.

Next is Salman and Sunita on "Tumse Milke dil ka hai yeh haal"

Farah: its innovative, kavaali into stunts and unusual acrobats. Superb. Loved the dedication at the end.

Terrence: it's a new and interesting pair. Loved the choreography. Advices Sunita and other girls to carry her own weight during lifts as the guys are not completely responsible for their weight. That is the right technique. Great pair, Great performance. Rated 4.85/5 because he loved Alisha and Khusboo's performance more and that would get 5/5

Remo: 5 star performance.

Mithun da: rated 4 out of 5. but after some begging he gives 5/5.

Salman's parents are there and they had concern about his dancing even with injuries. It's the concern of all the contestants' parents. Salman says its nothing compared to what his parents have suffered for him. Geeta tells how Salman is very emotional and cried when he first got surprised by his parents during rehersals.

Next Siddesh performs on "Allah ke bande" solo because Vrushali was eliminated.

Beautiful dancing.

Mithun da: 5 star plus performance. Very good expressions. Well done Geeta.

Farah: Its not the kind of a song that is used in a dance competition but it was choreographed beautifully. Siddesh has an injured rib but never looked like he is dancing in pain. Gives a grand salute.

Terrence: it's a contemporary style dance. Beautiful choreography. Rated 10/5. Mithun is surprised by his rating. Terrence says he is just doing his job and he wants contestants to improve that's why he is always a task master. He tells Siddesh that one of his rolls on the floor wasn't smooth but the second one was and not to dance with his shoulders up.

Farah says that he has a broken rib that's probably why he stands with his shoulders up and Terrence excuses it. Hats off to you Siddesh you touched my heart.

Remo: I was disappointed in your performance last time but today you did well and all the best.

Farah is asked about Om Shaanti Om song where Mithun da also made a guest appearance and Farah relates how there was a stampede on the sets when Mithun da arrived and one person gave a camera to ShahRukh to take a picture with Mithun da. Mithun da speaks from his heart and that's why people can relate to him/ like him.

Beautiful Performance of the day goes to Khusboo and Alisha.

Everyone comes on stage and dances to Om Shanti Om.
