So, how exactly did this singer land up hosting a show on cricket? Mayang reveals, "Singing is associated with cricket already. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed Bhidjan Na Hai for the IPL; my journey into cricket has been equally smooth."



This may be Mayang's first brush with cricket but the singer is no stranger to hosting. He says, "I hosted the last season of Indian Idol with Hussian and that was a nice start. It was great working with Hussain because he never let me feel like I was junior. He instilled a lot of confidence in me."

Chang says that he and his co-host will focus on the routine questions and give technical questions a miss. And like most Indians, Chang is a crazy cricket fan! He says, "We are all really passionate about the sport and the teams we support. Last year, I went for an audition to Kolkata and managed to catch one of the matches there. It was Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Rajasthan Royals. It was an awesome experience and this time it's going to be even better since I'll be in the middle of all the josh, action and enthusiasm."

Mayang shot to fame as a contestant on the third season of Indian Idol. It was even rumoured that he dated fellow contestant Deepali, with whom he hosted the auditions for season four. After that, Mayang went on to co-host the entire season with Hussain.
