The year 2009 has turned out to be a dismal one for Bollywood and especially for one of the top ranking stars of the last few years, Akshay Kumar, who has been hit the hardest, with two of his frontline projects, Nikhil Advani's CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA and Nagesh Kukunoor's recently released 8x10 TASVEER failing at the turnstile. It now seems that like any other mortal, Akshay Kumar too has decided to unwind and take refuge away from the media bashing, which just a few months back was hailing him as the King of Bollywood. And the place that he has chosen is not any exotic foreign destination but our very own Kullu-Manali valley.

If sources who coordinate shootings and arrange for the stay of stars in Himachal Pradesh are to be believed, Akshay Kumar will be in Manali around 20th April, for about four to five days with wife Twinkle, son Aarav and other close members of his family. And the exact location of his stay will be the beautiful cottages of the picturesque Aleo Village, a few kilometers away from the hustling and bustling tourist town of Manali. This has been done purposely to keep the star and his family away from his countless fans who will be aplenty, as the tourist season is at its peak during the time of Akshay's visit.
