MTV is doing things a little differently in the MTV Movie Awards this year: they want YOU to nominate the potential winners!
Here's how it'll happen: Starting Monday (April 13), head over to the official Movie Awards site to select the nominees in categories like Best Movie, Best Fight and Best Kiss. You'll be able to pick from a list of more than 200 movies. MTV Mobile users can also make choices in the Best Movie category by texting VOTE to 66333. Voting for this round will close on April 20.
On May 4, the official list of nominees will be announced. You can then start voting to choose the winners online or from your cell phone. This round of voting will close on May 18. But voting for Best Movie will stay open during the show itself, meaning whatever happens live onstage may affect which movie takes home that most coveted of Golden Popcorn statues.
