Hi friends today is 13th April. Today is Tamil New Year.Tamil New Year is the time for feasting and merrymaking. People get together with their family and close ones and celebrate the day. They make kolam in front of their houses and worshipp Lord Ganesha after seeing Kanni. People wish happiness and prosperity for each other, exchange gifts and give out Happy New Year greeting cards or e cards. There is anticipation for a good year ahead and pray for the same for others. A grand Car Festival is also held at Tiruvadamarudur near Kumbakonam every year on this day. Tamil New Year brings in the hope of new fortune, new life and happiness.
