1. Talk about clothes when all else fails
When the "jungli phoolon ka bageecha" came all set with white roses for our Mayank, he made a good show of refusing them. Since it was his Mum she was offering them to, he was okay with it. It made me wish Chiru had decided to come over to apologise for chickening out during the fight. When Mum dropped in some emotional blackmail, his instant change of tone was endearing.. But the best part was his act of keeping up a friendly banter even when she was obviously talking about The Subject. Mayank's innocent "kya yeh shirt mere liye laayi ho?" (Nope dude, she got it for Chunnu 😆) and his enthusiastic "yeh mera fav. colour hai" spoke volumes for his conversation skills.
2. Keep throwing in the deadly smile to overpower the opponent
The slow smile he smiles when Nupur says the yellow roses denoted their friendship - it was a perfect kodak moment. Even the grin he gave when she was making faces was aww-able. I can never get enough of his smile and making him smile, smile and smile some more would be my motto whenever I meet him.
3. Treat people you want to ignore as signposts
How I pitied the 2 girls who were standing with roses for him! LOL No airhead at Excel can ever deter Mayank. The way he walked past them made me crack up. So much for the efforts they must have put in.. it wud have been better had they been standing with a big, fat book. 😃
4. Collect compliments in style
Credit for this one goes more to Nupur as no compliments Mayu ever receives can equal hers. I loved her whistling, her comments about his shirt and looks and of course, his first love - the Library. Mayu was so busy collecting compliments that occasionally, he forgot to paste on those indifferent facial expressions. I couldn't help getting a fleeting thought that he was purposely being mean to her so that she would be instigated enough to offer him red roses. It's all planned, right Mayank? 😉
All said and done, I really hope he begins to realize Nupur's importance in his life and not treat her as someone to be avoided. He very well knows that he likes spending time with her, he knows she's creative and intelligent in her own way.. he values the bond that they share. But due to his perennial I love her, I love her not conflicts, his 'focus' and 'concentration' have been flying here, there and everywhere.
So Mayank, much as I love you, wake up now and accept that you love Nupur. Sigh..
