Doesn't Goddess Laxmi feel irritated?

At Samudra Manthan, Lakshmi was one of the discoveries that surfaced, so presumably, she was considerably new to all this to take part in the Asura deception project. Otherwise, she could have relieved Vishnu, who had already organized this entire project so far and taken the mountain on Kurma's back.

And for obvious reasons, for Ayappa's birth, Lakshmi couldn't have had Shiva's child, so it was Mohini. Although I'll admit that begs the question - why was Parvati unsuitable for this task? Was it a requirement that the rakshasha in question could only be killed by an offspring of Shiva & Vishnu?
