This is a very good idea, and something I've advocated from the beginning. Just b'cos something's there on TV doesn't mean it's authentic. One thing I've managed to do here is learn what actually happened in any event by reading the originals where possible, and a summarized account elsewhere.

I too am not looking forward to any more Ramayan enactments from any company, but particularly the Sagars. They are too married to their past mistakes to rectify them. I hope that some day, some production company oriented only towards Hindu mythology (and not sidetracked by the Jo Ishqs and Alif Lailas and Vikram Betals) does Ramayan, Mahabharat, Krishna et al all based purely on original sources, and not even the other accounts, so that people can have a pure idea of what really happened. And run it on a channel noted primarily for religious programs, rather than the bizzare mix with Bollywood.
