May I join in? The 90s were awesome in terms of music. I love all those Udit Narayan-Alka Yagnik numbers.

About the awards, I don't know if I'll be watching. If I do, it'll be online, I don't have any channels. But I'll wait for you guys to tell me whether its worth the watch or not. Hehe.

Argghh, I am so sick right now. Getting sick is the worst. I should head to bed and get some rest.

A few comments on your post, Piya:
-Can't stand Neeraj Sridhar - he contributes to the industry with songs like Ai Pappi and Love Mera Hit Hit (he even wrote lyrics for that one ... arghhh!)
-Anu Malik ke haath me garam chai ki pyaali ho, aur uski bakwaas sunne waali ho, chahe uski apni saali ho, yaa joota maarne waali ho ... 😆 sorry this fever is really getting to me.
-Genelia - cute, but I haven't seen her dance much.
-Shahid - HOTNESS!
- And Barso Re is beyond mediocre. Can't stand that song. Shreya has such an awesome collection, why is she always so hell bent on singing that one song? Why not sing the one she won the filmfare for - ie Teri Ore?
- And Jodha Akhbar was a boring movie. There was no plot, not to mention how they totally got the history wrong. The background score was awesome. The only songs that stood out from the album were Jashn-e-Bahara and Khwaja Mere Khwaja, both of which I love.
- JTYJN was a nice and upbeat collection of songs, but cannot be compared to Jodha Akhbar, because they are both in separate leagues.

Btw, still haven't seen the video you posted. I'll watch it later. 😆

Aww I hope you feel better...I was sick all last week w/ food poisoning so I know how it feels...thankfully today is the last day of antibiotics WOHOOO!!!
