Chitrangada Singh to play a power-broker in Sudhir Mishra's film Dhruv

Sudhir Mishra yet again casts his favourite actress Chitrangada Singh in the Farhan Akhtar-Kareena Kapoor starrer Dhruv.
Sudhir confirmed, "Both, Kareena and Chitrangada are so different in beauty, talent and personality that I've conceived two dramatic sequences featuring them. In terms of their look, screen presence and the characters, Kareena and Chitrangada are poles apart."
Chitrangada is expected to pull out all stops and portray a wheeler-dealer on stilettos with not much on except the perfume and background music. The director explained, "Chitrangada's part can be best described as that of an escort and power-broker in politics. It's a very seductive and provocative role."
Why Chitrangada? Sudhir replied, "How do you explain the fact that the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that you see in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films is so special? Similarly, I instinctively understand Chitrangada's skills and personality. I've been dying to cast her again after Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi."
The styling of the two ladies is being decided for the shooting which begins on September 15 in Rajasthan. While Kareena will play a politician, Chitrangada will play a femme fatale of politics and the underworld.
While Sudhir has a very special look for Chitrangada in Dhruv, about Kareena he said, "Kareena is a very special actress. Before I worked with her in Chameli I had heard she was a difficult actress to work with. But she had surrendered completely to my vision, and stood in the rain for hours for the shooting. In this film too I can see her sharing a crackling chemistry with Farhan. This film will take her to another level."
