Believe it or not, Sylvester Stallone fights for Kareena Kapoor in a stunt sequence in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambakth Ishq. The 'Rocky-Rambo' man is playing a tough guy who rescues Kareena from danger in an enthralling fight sequence in the film. The scene, shot in the Hollywood set of the movie, was done completely by Stallone without any dupe. And what's more, every one in the film crew is in awe of the man, who at 60, is in rock-solid shape.
Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, the lead actors in Kambakth Ishq, are all praise for Sylvester Stallone, his incredible body and jovial approach to work. A pretty excited Kareena says, "He drove over to the studio himself, without bodyguard, valet, make-up person or anybody... and he came carrying his food basket and papers... very cool and extremely charming."
Akshay heaped accolades on Stallone for his body. Himself a stuntman, the actor was on cloud Nine on meeting and acting with his childhood hero Stallone. "As for that body, rock solid even at 60... I'd die for it! I can't believe I've worked with my childhood legend. Not only is he hugely successful, even his shoulders are like twice my size. What a guy... these are minutes with him I know I'll never forget," said a Stallone-smitten Akshay.
How did Stallone feel about acting in a Bollywood film? Did he enjoy it? Ask the man himself and you get a quick reply: "Yes, of course... Sajid's film deals with a subject I like, which is about giving spirituality a physical manifestation of love, because at the end that's really what counts. There have been many action films where people are just beating each other up... and you go, 'Who cares!' But when it's really about the soul, I'm interested! That's what this film is about."
Kambakth Ishq is definitely in the 'next big thing' league. The stunts for the film have been choreographed by Hollywood's famous stunt man Spiro Razatos, known for his extraordinary feats in Bad Boys 2, Gothika, Vantage Point, Death Race, 3000 Miles to Graceland and Tuff Turf. Now with Stallone doing the saviour act, the movie is really going big!
