Aansoon to nahin hai aankhon mein
Pehlu mein magar dil jalta hai

one can easily feel the pain imbedded in the entire poem........

Apne dil ki baat bus kalam ki zubaani

Bhej raha hoon tumhare paas ?

Kaash tum samajh jao.

Aansoo toh nahin hain ankhon mein

Pehlu mein magar dil jalta hai

Hothon pe lahu hai hasrat ka

Aarra se jigar pe chalta hai

Ae dard-e-jigar yeh baat hai kya

Yeh ankhri apni raat hai kya ?

Hoti hain kasak har dhadkan mein

Har saans mein khanjar chalta hai

Dil jalta hai

Hum har gaye aise gham se

Dekha hi nahi jata humse

Jalta hai patanga jab koi aur ?

Shama ka aansoo dhalta hai ?
