Neil Bhatt: From sword-fight to romance

After he is done with all the action with his sword in 'Arslaan', it is time for his eyes to do the talking in Sahara One's 'Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi'. We are talking about Neil Bhatt, who plays the romantic hero in the show. Neil gets up close and personal and talks about his new role, the transition and a lot more'Read on'
"This is a love story of the 1800s and I play a guy called Sumer; he is a confident, cool dude and all the girls are mad about him. The tale is about two families who are good friends but later become enemies due to circumstances.
"The story is completely different from 'Arslaan'; the eras are completely different. And both the shows are about the historic period and I am happy about it. We have our roots in our history and that is how our culture is brought about. If it shown in the right way, people will surely connect to you.
"The show is of a different genre and it is a good change for me. The concept is fresh and it has nothing to do with saas-bahu and all the crying. It is a nice presentation of a love story and there is lot of family values shown. While 'Arslaan' had lot of kids showing good response, this show will have families responding positively.
"Each role has it sown challenge. I would need to play the flute; I need to bring out the softness and melody. Otherwise playing a cool dude needs no much efforts and that too when I am less different in real life from Sumer. But I am making sure to read the script many number of times. Unlike the super-hero, I will have to be appealing in a natural way; the intensity has to be there. That is how it works and overacting doesn't help here.
"'Arslaaan' is still very close to me as it was my first show but I want to move on and take up a lot of meaningful roles. As Arslaan had a message for humanity and Sumer brings about family values, I want to do roles which convey a message to the audience."
