The first of its kind on Indian television, thriller-love story Chehra will start this week on the primetime slot at 10.30 pm on Star Plus (Mon-Fri). The show revolves around a girl named Badini, whose lower body is paralyzed after an accident. We caught up with the lead stars who spoke to us about their show.
Narendra Jha, who plays Garv's elder brother on the show, says, "I'm playing elder son of the family. He is a well known plastic surgeon and has a very important angle on the show. Narendra is mysterious and more about his character will be revealed in the coming episodes. My entry will not take place with all the other characters. It will happen only after episodes 12. Chehra is a good show; let's hope people like it."
Nishigandha Wad, who plays Garv's mother Nirmala, says, "It is the story of common people. It will explore the grey side that all of us possess. Nirmala is not the goody-goody types. She is nice, but she can get angry and negative too. She is a very strong woman who takes over all the responsibilities of the family when her husband's business does not do well."
Chehra is the story of Bandini, a paralyzed girl who belongs to a middleclass family. Her family tries every way possible to free her from her wheelchair but to no avail. Garv comes to her city and slowly falls in love with her. They decided to start their new life in his Lake House but obstacles suddenly arise in their lives.
