Manthra, what Manthra did was vindictive.

What Ayodhya vasis did was question, a question that arose in their mind, they are victims of their times. I am not condoning their actions, but if we look at modern society, if a woman spends too much time with a male friend, people will point fingers at her. Sita Maa spent 12 months with Ravan, in his home. Ayodya vasis were compelled to question this, they did not know about the agni pariksha. Ayodhya vasi's pointing fingers on Sita Maa, still happens in modern society, these people are misinformed, and are not deliberately setting out to harm others, they believe their morals are right.

Manthra was just a plain evil old lady, so she is worse.

I think maa seetaa was herself antaryaami...she knew that her exiles were a must.....to enlighten the world.................MAybe...☺️

I do not hate any character from the Ramayan but Manthra was the root cause for all.

If she had not poisoned Kaikeyi's mind, Ram would not have been exiled and Sita would not have come across the situation of the Agni Pravesha and her banishment.
